I wonder why they opted to do a Vintage X-men wave. As a 5" Toybiz collector I think they look rad but I'm essentially paying the same price as a regular ML figure but without a BAF piece.

In my neck of the woods, the first Vintage wave didn't sell that well. They were eventually put on clearance at London Drugs.

simple. People asked for it since the first wave. Hasbro delivers.

Not as simple. As I've mentioned in that quote the first wave didn't sell well in my experience...

Did you see all of the figures on clearance? My experience in The USA is that the different figures sold at varied levels- Wolverine sold VERY well, and Spidey sold quite well, too. Cap sold decently, Punisher and Iron Man a bit slower, and Black Widow has definitely sold the worst.

Has Hasbro officially confirmed that this is just a 4-figure wave, or can we expect 2 more reveals before it is released? I don't know why they don't add BAFs to these waves.

The first vintage wave, aside from Wolverine and Spidey, seemed to pegwarm. Granted, it was pretty much all repaints of previously released figs. But  really I'm not sure its much different from most  ML waves where 1/3 to 2/3 of the figures end up available at a discount eventually (with the caveat that over time sometimes the price rises back up)

Haven't really seen the 2nd vintage wave at all in stores aside from Gamestop (altho i heard some people found them in local comic stores), hard to gauge how its selling. On amazon most of the figures are priced above msrp, but the fact that hasbro pulse has the whole wave at msrp suggests that the figures aren't selling at a crazy pace (granted, hasbro pulse just went active what, last week)

I'm not concerned, gave up trying to understand how stores make money off MLs a long time ago, as long as i can find who i want at msrp or less either in stores or online its all good.  Excited more for the x-force wave but definitely want Silver Samurai from the vintage wave and will probably end up getting Dazzler at some point.

There are definitely 2 more slots to be revealed in time.

Aside from Brown Wolverine, yea I saw the whole wave on clearance, initially on sale for $20Cdn then to $12Cdn. Granted this was at a Pharmacy that's not known for carrying Marvel Legends--London Drugs--perhaps people just didn't know about them and that's why they peg warmed and then got clearanced. That said it was also fairly easy for me to find Brown suit Wolverine, at Toys R Us, where that wave was also on sale.

Don't get me wrong, as an X-men-Only collector, I appreciate another X-men wave. But like you said it would've been nice to get BAFs. The sturdier boxed these vintage figures come in can't be that much more expensive as to eliminate the BAF.
