i DM'd the guy who who is credited with the original pic, he told me they wouldn't sell the figs to him, just let him take a few pics so i would assume the street date is still intact.

Anecdotally, most people seem interested in some combo of maw, herc, ronin with some enthusiasm for the comic figs as well, cap seems to be the one with a fairly negative or noncommittal reaction. lot of enthusiasm about the BAF altho a contingent of folks saying  "yet another BAF Thanos"? as well.  Just my own perception of what i'm seeing on IG.

Cap is just automatic. At least they had enough self control to not try and jam both Cap and IM in the first wave. There will be conflicting reports of this figure both peg warming and flying off the shelves in different regions, same as usual. I'll get it if only for the Quantum suit. I might be wrong but it looks to me like the Cap Quantum Suit is a little larger than the 2 pack Quantum Suit, or maybe it's just wishful thinking. The rest of the wave is a must get. I'm not sure how anyone can consider these remakes. Even the obligatory Cap is different. I'll be counting the days though, till they fix those spindly little legs on Herc and do a classic version like they did with the "perfect" MU one. I'm not specifically unhappy with the BAF so much that the design of this Thanos is the one we shoulda got in the IW wave and the Long Johns version just seems like a waste now. I'm sure there's gonna be some in the "I'm glad we got both" crowd, but seriously, which one is going to end up in everyone's display and which one's gonna get the plastic baggie treatment? One would have a hard time convincing me that Hasbro didn't just cheap out by giving us that first version of Thanos rather than Banner in the new Hulkbuster.

I can't believe only now I noticed another (but minor) take-away from this photo. Living Laser comes with electricity effects! I was worried he was going to come with nothing at all. Would've hated if this figure ended up like Blizzard.

Would have preferred some new laser effects, but it is better than nothing

The closer the release date gets, the more stoked I am for this wave! Herc and Ronin are must-haves for me but if things follow along the way they usually do, as the wave releases, I'll get intrigued by figures I didn't expect to care about. Darn it when cool reviews get me to buy something I didn't intend to, lol!

I know people are not too hyped about the Ronin design, but at this point it’s better looking than the original Ronin we had.  Plus it seems to be pretty true to the suit in the movie.  Although I can say that a Mohawk Clint heads would be an amazing pack in

The spoilers were the quantum suits which hadn't been officially revealed at the time this was posted.

At the time this was posted, there were already several posts and images on Twitter, Facebook, etc... showing the suits, thats why I asked which spoilers, because unless you were living under a rock, they were pretty much know, or like the old Dothraki saying "It is known..."

I will likely be in for this set, simply because of the armored Thanos and also because I suspect Ebony Maw will otherwise be EXTREMELY difficult to track down, and I will predict reaches $45+ on the secondary market within a month of release.

That being said, I have to concur with the general frustrations being espoused widely regarding this particular wave. Namely the mixed bag of critical MCU Avengers paired with much lesser known comics figures, the suit selection for this Cap, and the concern that that Thanos will just be released again later...I tend to think we will see this armored version of him and the whole of the Black Order with a revised, screen accurate Cull Obsidian as either a convention or Hasbro Pulse/Online retailer exclusive for the holidays.

I am interested in that Living Laser though...he just looks neat and I have that Black Panther wave comics Iron Man that I think he'll versus with well.

Oh well, I'll live with the rest for the Maw, Ronin, Living Laser, Cap and Thanos. You got me again Hasbro!

I may be a bit disappointed with how this BAF came out, I was REALLY anticipating this one. What I liked the most about the BAF we had last year was how wide it was, especially in comparison to the figuarts one. The shoulders of the armored Thanos should be broader, IMO.

Do we know know that he isn’t for sure yet?  That would be a huge disappointment of you are right.

Looks like Nighthawk is the only figure I plan to pick up from this wave. But it's one that really really want. NH has been on my Top 10 want list for years.

    • Not a bad assortment, especially for a movie series. Not great, but not bad. Pretty sure my opinion will improve once we see pix.
    • I scored a blink today for 6$ :D im stoked
    • Ahhh that suuucks! I was going to say, when you cancel your old card, order a new card at the same time, and the purchase should automatically transfer to your new card. That's what happened with me when I lost a credit card and went to cancel it. I was afraid that all the things still outstanding that were tied to my old card would be lost. For example, I was still waiting for a refund to finish processing for an item I had returned. But all those leftover things were transferred to my new card so I didn't lose anything (despite not physically receiving my new card for several days). But it sounds like you had bad timing where Amazon attempted to charge it in the brief window in between your two cards. That sucks. It sounds like you're willing to pay a little bit more for the set since you offered to cover the shipping and also provide bonus stuff. If that's the case, why not just pay a bit more for the scalper prices on ebay? I see some going for an extra $40. That's not ideal, but I'll bet the prices will come down a bit if you wait some more as well. This boxset is brand new so the prices are high now and if you wait until it's more prevalent in the wild, it should come down. Or maybe even Amazon will change course and (re)allow shipping to the UK again after a while. Edit: Now I see that you already did address Ebay as an option. I would still say wait until the prices come down. Or maybe you'll find it for sale locally or on another website that will ship to UK.
    • yes, toy fair at the very earliest. Hell we haven't even gotten a trailer released to the public.
