Yeah, with a few individual exceptions (Thor comes to mind) you're probably on your own there, buddy.  People seem to like bigger characters...big.

Yeah, cuz being a 7 footer isn't big enough. Heck, let's hope the Marvel artists start drawing Hulk, Thanos & Juggs as 12 footers.

Or some gets the 12 inch Marvel Legends Hulk and puts it next to the 6 inch Marvel Legends and says "now the Hulk is to scale"

Preach bro! It seems some people can't comprehend that many of us ML collectors want our favorite superheroes/villians in the correct comic listed hgts in relationship to one another.  Just cause some artists are allowed by their writer to take artistic license with some characters & draw them outta proportion to their listed hgts, does not mean they should be made that way in figure form. Juggs was always listed as being 6'10, 900lbs (Cuz that isn't big enough) then certain artists draw him gigantic & now he's a 9 footer that weighs 1 ton. Same goes for the Hulk. Rhino is another character that is listed as 6'5 710lbs  but artists draw him gigantic looking. I mean WTF is this? A Sentinel sized Rhino? Artistic license taken way overboard. The last pic of Rhino with his buds is a perfect version of what he should look like in scale as a 6'5 character. He shouldn't be towering over them by 2 feet! Hasbro needs to start creating bucks for characters that are beefier in mass such as Rhino/Thanos. They made the perfect buck for Doc Ock  who does not have a body builder physique.

I didn't try to speak for you or anyone else in specific.  Just the rather large multitude of people that drool over things like the Marvel Select Juggy, or Thanos, or Rhino, or Colossus, or whoever, to the point that they will refuse to "update" even when something "closer to the official Marvel Universe listings" comes up.  But sure, pretend like you and Gmen4ever speak for all of those folks, yourself.

Marvel was pretty consistent about this stuff until the Image era/Shooter ending his tenure as EIC.  What you don't seem to want to "comprehend" is that a whole lot of people have spent the last 20-25 years growing up with the more stylized "artistic license" versions of these characters in their comics.  And they buy toys too.

You have every right to want what you want, to be absolutely clear.  I even hope that you get it someday (and would probably buy some/most of them myself).  But unless Herc is a sign of things to come it doesn't seem to be the direction Hasbro wants to go in, especially when it means remolding a whole bunch of characters that were already pretty recently done.

I think you hit the nail on the head pertaining to Shooter leaving Marvel as EIC. He more than likely would not have approved these artists going crazy with all those size/hgt alterations that post EICs allowed them to do.  Manbun Herc is done & outta the way, I highly doubt he will be one & done. Classic Herc can be done in future Avengers waves, vintage waves or 80th anniv waves.

Yeah, I mean it's pretty clear Hasbro really doesn't give a rat's @$$ about the heights, so I don't even know why that notion is being entertained. The heights are so variable that I doubt they se it as a big deal.

I started a similar topic, just in regards to "Vintage" waves. But, my choices here will be different because who enjoys reruns?

Viper - She needs a whole bunch of new! Face, body and weapons would be needed to correct her earlier fig.

Daredevil - Butterfly joints ftw! And I wouldn't mind one of those handplant hands, like they just did with Beast.

Jigsaw - Pretty sure the only way he's getting released will be via exclusive. Far too traumatizing for the toy aisle

The comic-Thanos BAF is broad but not nearly as tall as many BAFs.  Not even as tall as the Hulk that came in the wave to build him.

That's modern comic based Thanos, I want Hasbro to do a classic Bronze age 70s-90s Starlin/Lim version on a broad buck that is no bigger than 6.5-7' tall. He would not need double joints on his arms or legs due to being the correct thickness. Again at 6'7 900lbs,  Classic Thanos is massively muscled, not super tall.

Derpy eyed Misty Knight, who really should have more of her bionic arm showing, and Captain Marvel.

Guardian had a very sloppy paint job and why they gave him that grumpy face, I'll never know.

A number of female figures are on a body buck that is just too skinny. Its right for Songbird, not for others. Storm is not skinny! Longing for the days of Rogue and Ms. Marvel.

A NUMBER of the Iron Man figures are either too small, too skinny, or otherwise not in any kind of normal scale. And can we seriously get an Armored figure some carbonization up in here?

The Human Torch does NOT have a yellow head, nor does his body buck have to be that large. Invisible Woman needs a translucent figure.

The Vision....keep the colours as they did in the "vintage" release, but make the buck bigger. Add the ear cups. Get rid of the "painted" on belt; the belt used for Adam Warlock/ Night Thrasher shows they can make larger belts that don't have to be painted on. His boots and gloves end in a point; painting those makes it look so cheap (they showed us they can do different boots, just look at Shatterstar). His cape is supposed to have a cord under his collar (like Taskmaster's, minus the big circular buttons/clasps).

Rant over.

I'd love to see a few more AOA designs be made...I love that story line! ..... A new SABERTOOTH would be nice with Wild child on a chain. Storm had a cool AOA design as well....

Well looks like you can cross that Wildchild off your list, along with anyone who wanted Crossbones or an AOA Sunfire! Just announced new versions today.

I think Rogue and Psylocke need to be redone the most. Those two are really high in price nowadays even though in my opinion the figures themselves are not that great. There’s definitely room for improvement. It’s been a while since we’ve had a Rogue so that seems the most likely being redone. I wouldn’t mind seeing a new Psylocke based on Marc Silvestri’s run on X-men. There are different costumes for both Rogue and Psylocke that Hasbro can try out, but I don’t think anyone would be mad if they keep improving their take on Jim Lee’s style costumes of them.

I think (hope) Rogue will see some sort of rerelease with an improvement to her head.

This version of Thanos on the Caliban buck or even omega red would be super dope! Something with good articulation.

Silver Surfer needs to be redone. He’s not going to be in the new Fantastic Four wave so maybe they will come out with a Silver Surfer and huge Galactus figure. We need an updated Galactus too so this is a golden opportunity  for Hasbro to come out with this pack to go along with the FF wave.

I love the Walgreen's one, though I wish he came with different heads like Nightcrawler did. I still think a huge Galactus would be considered for a Haslab project before a mass retail item. That would be a pretty penny.

I was thinking it could be like the Wolverine and Sentinel set but Galactus would probably be bigger and more detailed than the Sentinel so if they do a Haslab I would definitely support it. I’d like it to be 16-19 inches.

    • Right. I don't remember anyone having a problem with Bucky replacing Cap (don't get me started on how many Captain America's there were before the ridiculous Sam controversy- even the Red Skull bodysnatched Cap for a time), or the blonde Black Widow, the Crimson Dynamo, Union Jack, Red Hulks, need I go on. There's nothing in this announcement that says Jack Russell terrier is being wiped out in favor of this new guy. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they end up having both werewolves cross paths.
    • Looking at that Crossbones figure, I think the head is sitting way too high on the neck peg. Once I get it, I'll just Dremel the hole in the head a bit deeper & that should fix the Giraffe issue. These are due to hit the pegs sometime in March?

    • When MARVELS SNAPSHOTS begins in March, fans will get to see Marvel's greatest characters from the Golden Age to today, in new legendary tales told through the eyes of ordinary people! As curator of this landmark series, Kurt Busiek has handpicked the creative teams for each standalone, double-sized issue and he’s put together an amazing assemblage of talent to tackle April’s issues focusing on Captain America and the X-Men. First up, Eisner nominated writer Mark Russell will revisit Jack Kirby’s classic Madbomb storyline from his 1970s run on CAPTAIN AMERICA. “Some people, when they call, you gotta pick up the phone. And Kurt Busiek is one of those people,” says Russell. “I was pretty instantly sold on the project once he started describing it to me— stories about the human cost of these famous conflicts in the Marvel Universe. I truly enjoyed working on this with him.” Known for his work on books like Second Coming and Wonder Twins, Russell says MARVELS SNAPSHOT: CAPTAIN AMERICA will focus on “the Madbomb's impact in the South Bronx, a community which had already been effectively abandoned by the rest of the nation, that community's struggle for survival, and of the search for heroes of its own.” He will be joined by acclaimed artist Ramón Pérez(ALL-NEW HAWKEYE). Next, in X-MEN: MARVELS SNAPSHOT, readers will see the rise of super heroes from the eyes of a young orphan named Scott Summers, the boy who would grow up to be Cyclops. The future X-Men leader couldn’t be in safer hands. Jay Edition, the co-host of the popular X-Men podcast, Jay and Miles X-Plain the X-Men, makes his Marvel Comics debut with a tale about one of his favorite characters. “This is a story that's pretty personal to me—because I'm me, and it's a Cyclops story; but even more because it's about the ways that superheroes and the stories around them can become lifelines. If I'm going to be really sappy about it (which I absolutely am), I get to give one of my favorite heroes the same kind of touchstone he's been to me over the years,” says Edidin. “I'd say it's a dream come true, but given that I'm the kind of uptight overachiever who overidentifies with Scott Summers in the first place, maybe also a bit of an anxiety dream come true. That said, it's been a blast to get to sit down and play in a sandbox I've spent years cataloguing and analyzing and explaining." Teaming up with Edidin will be artist Tom Reilly, a rising star artist known for his recent work on Immortal Hulk. Don’t miss this grand celebration of Marvel’s legacy that’s sure to be an instant favorite for True Believers old and new.
