Ghost Rider And Hellstorm Live-Action Shows Coming To Hulu

Looks like Hulu has scored two more Marvel based TV series with Ghost Rider and Hellstorm. According to THR,

Quote

Ghost Rider revolves around anti-hero Robbie Reyes, who, consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. Reyes lives on the Texas/Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields. Ghost Rider will be executive produced by Ingrid Escajeda (Justified), who will serve as showrunner, Paul Zbyszewski (Agents of SHIELD, Lost) and Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb.

Quote

Helstrom, meanwhile, revolves around Daimon and Ana Helstrom, the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity — each with their attitude and skills.Helstrom is executive produced by Zbyszewski, who will serve as showrunner and Loeb.

It seems like this Ghost Rider will be different from the one that has appeared on ABC's Agents Of SHIELD and that these shows will be set in a Hulu based Marvel Universe that already includes a live action Runaways series and several comedy based animated shows that are also coming to the network. In other words these aren't connected to the regular Marvel Cinematic Universe, at least based on what THR is reporting.

LOL i bet Ghost Rider will be like the old Hulk show where he turns into Ghost Rider exactly twice an episode.  Hope they can come up with a forlorn piano tune to play over the closing credits.

Non-sarcastically, sounds like a good show and i did enjoy Gabriel on AoS.  However i don't have Hulu so who knows if i'll end up seeing this.

Still waiting for my Agents of SHIELD Marvel Legends.

you say that but it's thanks to these types of shows that we have gotten load of Comic figures. it's just a matter of where to put them rather then when we get them.

  • When Runaways was announced we got Nico in the Strange wave because she was a magician.
  • Cloak and Dagger got made because of their show
  • Many of the SHIELD minor villains actually allow for Hasbro to make character people would never have asked for, like Blizzard or such.
  • The reason for the push for the Serpent Society is because they were using the names in Luke Cage (based on different character, yes but non comic fans know that).
  • Purple Man got made in an SDCC set because of his role in Jessica Jones as well as Hellcat getting made because of her role.

I'm sure Hasbro has a comic book Robbie in the works long before this show was announce (giving his importance in the comics at the moment) so I would be surprise if he and Hellstorm get announced in a Dr. Strange or Avengers wave.

and yet still no Agents of SHIELD, despite the Netflix characters getting figures. Despite going on for soon to be six seasons, there is still no Quake or Mr Hyde (Show or comics), despite being major characters.

Also Nico was announced months before Runaways was announced

It's a shame that they're using the version of Ghost Rider that no one is interested in. I stopped watching 'Agents of Shield' completely after they debuted the Ghost Rider wannabe. Incredibly disappointing.

Too bad you stopped, that season was IMO one of the best of the show. Robbie Reyes grows on you, if you ever feel like it I'd recommend you kept watching.
