What Spiderman villans still need the ML treatment?

Recommended Posts

I love Spideys villans...but who is left to make?

My top 5 are:

Vulture (though the box set one is near perfect)

Stegron (a build a figure?)

Molton Man (not the walking Fesces pile from the movie)

Mr. Negative (a simple Purple Man repaint?)

White Rabbit (gotta love killer bunnies)

Who ya got?

  2. Morlun
  3. Spot
  4. Overdrive - needs to complete the superior foes.
  5. White Rabbit
  6. Stegron
  7. Mister Negative
  8. Phage/Riot/Agony
  9. Rose
  10. Swarm

Mephisto although he isn’t quite a Spider-Man villain but he has a fare share of appearing in Spider-Man comics

Unfortunately he is one character has outright refused to do because he is too much like the devil. Hasbro has a strict no devil figure policy. Demon characters that look human like satana are okay but the litterally depiction of the devil is a big no no.

Marvel Select should really re-release their Mephisto figure.  And Uatu, for that matter

Don't have a big list, so I'm just going with Morlun, White Rabbit and Mr. Negative.  I'd also like to see a Marvel Noir version of Vulture, but I think an Earth 616 version of Toomes should be made first,

Morlun

Mr. Negative

Stegron

Cardiac

Vermin

Spot

Overdrive

Remaining Life Foundation Symbiotes

Molten Man

Freak

Menace

Goblin Knight

Probably a few re-dos that are possible, but I'd like to keep to new releases first.

Vulture first appearance please. 😁

Its SPIDER-MAN. And yes, original Vulture....if they do it correctly the wings will be attached to his arms like they did with Dark Hawk...they did a version with a puny set that plugs into the back (and keeps falling off). That was a 2 pack with him and Spider-Man and it sold for under $20.00, so I got it. Wouldve been just as good to leave it where it was. But since they did a great job with Mysterio, Scorpion, Kraven and Shocker ( who I'm SHOCKED even got a figure!) I think they can do a decent original Vulture. Fingers crossed.

OMG is it possible they'll release him without his wings, the way they did Captain America (Falcon)? OHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO!

Vulture without his wings would be a really dumb idea. There is no way, they would do it

I've not heard Hasbro say that, but if thats their policy, its really stupid, because nowhere in a bible does it say what the "devil" actually looks like. Certainly not some red-skinned dude with goat horns and a pointed tail. There IS no literal depiction, so they should get over it. LOL wont happen because logic and facts don't matter to such types. On the other hand....a Satana figure would be great. I got the one from the Thunderbolts boxed set; would be nice to see her "original" appearance version.

Of course they wouldn't, I'm just ragging them about doing that to the Falcon.

I think it’s more a matter of what is commonly accepted as the appearance of the devil (red skin, horns, pointed tail, etc) matched with a name that is commonly given to “the devil”, and the general public seeing such a thing on toy shelves and becoming passionately offended. It’s less about Hasbro “getting over it” and more about them not wanting every day folk to think they’re selling religiously affiliated toys of any kind.

    • Believe it or not, they did release a Satana back in the 2013 SDCC Exclusive Thunderbolts boxed set.  It's not the classic look of course, but was pretty far from toned down for Hasbro.
    • That's what I'm holding out hope for. Too true, sad, but true.
    • I have to say the Walgreen's Invisible Woman is my favorite for three reasons: 1) she was my very first Marvel Legends figure, my gateway into collecting this brand; 2) Sue is my favorite female Marvel superhero; and 3) it's a good-looking figure with cool interchangeable hands, an attractive body and head sculpt--and H.E.R.B.I.E.! Other female Marvel Legends I really like are: Spider-Gwen Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew, original costume) Black Widow (vintage wave) The Enchantress Female characters that I want Hasbro to release are: Captain Marvel II/Photon/Spectrum (classic Monica Rambeau) She-Hulk (either from the Savage or Sensational She-Hulk comics, not the new version) Magik (classic New Mutants costume with the eldritch armored arm and a reasonable-sized sword) Gamora (original appearance, green fishnet-looking costume) Satana, the Devil's Daughter (I doubt this will happen) Colleen Wing (my Misty Knight figure needs her partner) Clea (Doctor Strange's paramour) Tigra Princess Python (from the Circus of Crime, complete with giant bendy-wire snake that can wrap around her) Rogue (original green costume, hood, short hair) The Wasp is another one of my favorite Marvel women, and I have both of her comic figures, but I really would like to see another based on one of her more iconic costumes from either the '70s or '80s.
    • Carol Danvers Ms Marvel hands down. She looks like how a real woman looks (I know, I collect toys, how would I know what a real woman should look like). Her proportions are perfect to me. She is one character that Hasbro and even Toybiz seems to just knock out of the park. Loved the Toybiz’s version and the Hasbro one upped that version as well. A few others are Mockingbird (great sculpt and costume), Photon (or was she Pulsar? Beautiful face) MCU Wasp was a pleasant surprise, and i thought the Riders Black Widow was a welcome minor change to her usual offering
