Where is the bendy wire doc ock's tentacles

Recommended Posts

Speaking of dock ock, why doesn't his marvel legend figure have bendy wire tentacles. I don't understand this because the old toybiz figure had bendy wire tentacles. Such a bad move from hasbro because I really love the character.

They said it was due to safety standards - Ock's tentacles were too thin to put bendy wire in.   Keep in mind Hasbro markets MLs as being for ages 4 and up,  and the safety standards for toys for 4-year olds are a lot different from something like Neca figures which the packaging suggest ages 13+.

It could be a function of cost as well but generally when they can do bendy wire, they do... for something as thick as Reed's arms or Scorpion's tail.  Ock's tentacles and Nightcrawler's tail are too thin, i think.   The only place where it should've been used is for tails like Lizard  and Sauron. In Lizard's case i think they wanted to try out an articulated tail (not really successful imo), with Sauron i guess they figured being able to rotate a plastic tail was good enough.
