Disney’s Marvel Studios Takes Home The Gold At The 45th Annual Saturn Awards

Disney’s Marvel Studios took home majority of the honors presented Friday Night at the 45th Annual Saturn Awards which awards the work of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films.

Disney’s Marvel Studios held 14 nominations and earned six wins with the Avengers: Endgame movie.  Robert Downey Jr. earned the best actor award as Tony Stark aka Iron Man and Josh Brolin won as the best supporting actor for portraying Thanos.  The film also won for best visual effects, best film editing and best production design.

Spider-Man: Far From Home grabbed two wins with actress and singer Zendaya winning for best actress for her portrayal of MJ and Tom Holland, winning for best performance by a younger actor.

The cancelled Netflix series Daredevil was awarded the best streaming superhero series.

President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige was presented with the first-ever Stan Lee World Builder Award, named after the late Marvel Comics icon.

Jon Favreau, the director of Iron Man, which launched the Marvel Studios won the Visionary Award.

Jeph Loeb, the head of Marvel’s television productions, was presented with the Dan Curtis Legacy Award.
