Disney+ Series Waves?

FantasticFaust

It's common practice for Hasbro to release film-specific waves for each new MCU movie (see the recently-announced Black Widow wave), does anyone else hope they do similar releases for the upcoming Disney+ shows? In addition to MCU characters, this would be a great opportunity for a comic-accurate Falcon and USAgent figures, not to mention Wicca, Speed, Moon Knight, and countless others.

What do you all think?

I could see them doing figures for characters on the shows, as they did with the Mandalorean.  I'm not sure how much that translates into getting comic versions of the characters.  I envision a wave similar to the netflix wave, with 4 mcu characters (some likely would involve re-used parts or repaints of older figs) and a few comic figs that don't involve tons of new sculpting, plus a comic BAF.

First off Hasbro don't always do movie Specific waves for each movie. As for the Disney+ shows, I don't see it happening to be honest, I would probably see more general Disney+ waves like they did with Netflix rather than each show getting a dedicated wave.

Why not? They did the whole Netflix Crew, with multiple versions. They were appreciated. I picked up the punisher even though I don't collect MCU figures. But they did it. I would think this is highly likely given the fact that none of them were peg warmers.

We will see Disney + series characters in Legends form. Just maybe not say in a WandaVision wave. Most likely they will sneak one or two characters into a related wave similar to how they got Ant-Man and the Wasp into an Infinity War series.

Or like how they did the Netflix wave, only maybe a few characters from a couple of shows mixed in with comic characters.  Can’t see getting a six figure wave out of WandaVision, but they could get 6 + from Falcon and Winter soldier.

More likely the characters get released a few at a time in related waves then supplemented with box sets and fan channel exclusives

I say Hasbro will play it safe and wait to see the reaction to the series. Don't forget, unlike the Movies, not everyone will be able to watch them so it's better to wait. We might see a few figures in box sets and 2-pack but I highly doubt we will see a wave.

That is the same situation as "Netflix" series ( Daredevil, Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica jones, Elektra) All had figures made. Don't forget the Netflix series were NC17 not pg-13. Which is probably why it took so longer for them to be released.

Obviously things vary from area to area, but my local WM didn't seem to be able to move these figures at all and they eventually went on clearance, where i picked up a 2nd Jessica Jones for $10.  But you are likely correct in that figs based on characters from NC-17 shows are a tougher sell in the kids toy section than disney + shows would be, especially ones based on characters that have already appeared in multiple movies.   And they did come out with 3 Mandalorean figs plus the Best Buy exclusive and chromed variant (or whatever they called it).  AFAIK they only have one show coming out in 2020, the falcon/winter soldier one, so maybe they will wait til spring 2021 and have that cover both Fal/WS, along with Wandavision and Loki.  new figs for Falcon, WInter Soldier, Wanda and Loki would probably make sense.  I'm not sure if they would make a new vision since he just got a figure.

From that netflix wave, Punisher, JJ and the comic Bullseye and Man-Thing figures were really great imo.  The DD was decent but Elektra could have been better and i'm not a huge fan of the Blade figure although it was nice to add that character to the collection.  As i recall there was speculation that Luke, Iron Fist, and Claire Temple would've been part of a 2nd netflix wave but they were released as exclusives instead, which does suggest the 1st wave had disappointing sales.

Yes, but as I said the Netflix shows were  done in one wave (with some box sets), we didn't get a DD wave, a Cage wave etc. So

My point was that we are more likely to get figures from Disney plus than from an NC-17 Netflix series (which we already got). I'm sure a repainted loki, wanda, vision are already in affect. We will definitely get a new falcon and winter soldier. Hopefully a  US Agent. cause that would be cool.
