I meant what is the thing if someone were to try and find one. It looks cool and I can think of a few uses for it. Imagination doesn't answer the question.

Depends on the wording of the questions. The wording of your question left it open to interpretation. Thank you for specifying what you meant. It came from a old X files figure.

How is that open to interpretation? "What is the thing"? Can't get more specific than that. It wasn't "What are you using the thing for?"

A clear question based your desired response, would be: What line of figures did that thing in between Mickey and Minnie from?

So yes, you can get more specific than you originally did and in doing so,leaves less up to interpretation.
