Due to the recent earthquakes, the Disney+ Marvel Studios series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has suspended filming from its Puerto Rico location.

Sources have not confirmed if production will continue in the Puerto Rico location going forward; most likely elsewhere. Originally, a two-week production shoot was planned in Puerto Rico with cast and crew arriving tomorrow.

Last Tuesday, the island of Puerto Rico was hit with a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in its Southern coast, reportedly the island’s biggest in a century. There was another earthquake on Saturday that shook the island with a reading of 5.9.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series is a spinoff from the Captain America movies with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprising their roles as the Falcon and Bucky Barnes.  The series will reportedly debut in late 2020.

I guess we can all assume the area where the shoot was being done in Puerto Rico was most likely supposed to be the Madripoor location in the series. It's unfortunate and saddening for the people of Puerto Rico, but as far as the show it would only be a minor set back. They'll most like reschedule the shoot for a similar location like Hawaii.
