MAFEX X-Men Age Of Apocalypse Magneto Revealed

Recommended Posts

Shown below is a look at the upcoming MAFEX Marvel X-Men Age Of Apocalypse Magneto that appears to be in the works from. Medicom. Details are light at the moment, but it was on display at the 2020 Wonder Festival - Winter event. Images have shown up on social media (Sorry the original source of the images is unknow, if you know feel free to let us know and we will update with a link) .

While not shown here, we are going to assume at least a normal helmeted head without the Age of Apocalypse long hair will also be released with the figure. This headsculpt is likely being included to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Age of Apocalypse storyline. This is the third X-Men themed MAFEX figure we've gotten from Medicom, the first being Wolverine which is out now and coming soon is Cyclops.

I hope it has additional cape as well as heads so we can get regular Magneto, for 95 bucks he def should have it.

My guess is it wont have a second cape. I could see three headsculpts, this one, a helmet head with the long hair under it and then a normal helmet head.

most of Mafex figures come with a bunch of accesories, including interchangeable pieces, not just an extra head and hands, Im guessing this one will have a interchangeable purple cape with a more classic collar, and at least a regular classic helmeted head (I think itll have 2 unhelmeted and 2 helmeted heads, a pair for AOA and a pair for classic look)

Always loved how Magneto looked with the long hair. Can't wait to learn more details about this figure, maybe this could be my first X-Men character from MAFEX

This looks fantastic, here's hoping height wise it's good, would have really liked an extra in the way of Mezco esq Magnetic effects, but I think this is really nice as is,  some sites already have the pre-order up!

Nice looking figure, Im still going to wait for hasbro to release their version, the price on this one is a bit high to warrant the purchase, but overall its looking very good

That cape is majestic.  Not normally one for soft goods (outside of Kenner Super Powers), but it looks really nice in these photos.

Odd choice on the black face.  I think it might have been better to just go with a flat blackness underneath rather than have the features sculpted.  As is, it looks like his face isn't cast all in shadow, but is literally black in color.

Agree with you on this one..if mafex is just plain plastic and same scale with hasbro, go for hasbro because of price...unless mafex rival mezco then the high price is a bit bearable

I had the old ToyBiz figure from 97, one of the first figures I bought to display and not play with (I was 13). This brings back some fond memories and I can't WAIT to pick it up!

Hmmm, to buy this or wait and hope Hasbro makes one. Or even if Hasbro doesn't, do I make my own custom instead?

This Magneto looks great, MAFEX figures to me are a hit or miss, hopefully this "Age of Apocalypse" Magneto is a good one. I'll put in a pre-order and if a Marvel Legends version is announced then I may go with that one depending on how it looks.
