I found this figure hanging on the rack at Walmart all by its lonesome a couple weeks ago. I grabbed it up quick because with all thats going on who knows when deliveries will come if at all nowadays. Supposed to be getting Rage tomorrow but it doesn't even show shipped on tracking yet. I still have the old figure but as you can see by comparison this one is much better.

It’s obviously better than previous  outdated toybiz version but it still doesn’t look too good to me, I think his hair or paint/wash was handled poorly, it’s literally the focal point of the figure. Also I think Hasbro should sculpt pointy boots that they can use for all medium sized sculpt, we could have avoided ugly cuts.   And yeah, shartimus made really sad point that we  probably never gonna use moonstone’s mold again, but never say never. Maybe they can still use it for fan channel exclusives.

Wow that pic of this new Mar-Vell side by side with the old Toy Biz version. Blows my mind how far Legends have come.

At the time  I thought the Toy Biz figure was one of the he best ever released....

i have a few nit picks about the new release, mostly that his head looks a little cartoony, but man does it blow away the old in every way

Has Shartimus ever broken a figure when he reviews articulation??  Seems a bit heavy-handed.  😅😅😅

My figure showed up yesterday and its pretty blah. Sadly all the concerns I had about it before, have  been confirmed.

He's on the body buck that's smaller than the one they used for Loki (but of course Loki isn't usually that damn big anyway). They really should have given up a butterfly joint option which would allow him to clang the nega bands, his iconic move. You can still get him in the position if you work it hard enough.

The worse critiques are the paint used on the figure. The red is dull, bland. The metallic blue is a nice touch, but really could have been more dynamic. its sloppily and half-assed applied, especially on the briefs and the boot tops (because theyre TOO LAZY to mold simple pointed boots correctly). The yellow used for his star symbol is great, but its not complimented by either the nega bands or his hair.

And that hair...Shartimus may love the hair on this figure, but he needs to look at the comics and the previous toybiz version, to see how its supposed to look. This is disheveled and almost looks like it was put on as an afterthought.

Still, this is a better version than the toybiz one. Little more attention to detail, add some nice energy effects, and who knows, maybe a translucent sparkling energy trail to simulate flight. Makes the difference from "okay" to "great, must have".

I'm still waiting for this damn figure, for some reason here in Canada we are lagging so far behind in getting these new waves, even the Black Widow wave barely saw any light here, I ordered this figure what seems like way to long ago, I feel like I'm bored of it already, it's certainly the best Mar-vell ever, and it's a must have but.. it does leave a bit to be desired, I wish the metallic blue was matte .. an extra head maybe..this thread just made me sad I don't have the Ms. Marvel figure

On my "get list" but not in a rush to buy him at retail value, will wait till he pops up on a clearance sale later in the yr. Saw him last week on the pegs minus the BAF which had been ripped out & took him to the cashier at checkout & told her the BAF was missing due to the 5 finger discount & most she would give me is 10% off, I left him with her. Shoulda spoken with manager to see if I could at least get 25% off but it wasn't worth the effort.
