"Nobody Asked for This!" A Wasp Wave

Janet Van Dyne, the wondrous Wasp, is one of Marvel's first and best female superheroes. She's a founding Avenger, a mainstay of the team throughout the years, and even led Earth's Mightiest Heroes during one of the series' most beloved creative runs. And yet, the classic Wasp has never had her own series, mini or ongoing, and it took twenty movies before she really arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Wasp deserves more respect than that. She deserves a dedicated line in Marvel Legends.

The Wasp wave 1

  1. Wasp - first appearance; red and black, miniature version and interchangeable head without cowl
  2. Wasp - red and yellow costume, circa her wedding in Avengers #60; miniature version
  3. Yellowjacket (Hank Pym) - classic; miniature version
  4. Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau) - classic
  5. Egghead - classic
  6. Whirlwind - classic, bare chest/arms; spinning air effect snaps over legs like Hydro-Man's water effect
  7. Ultron - classic (can be re-released as an army-builder/drone)

    Build-a-Figure - Goliath (Clint Barton)

I kinda like this, but some changes I would add would be Bill Foster would be in his third costume so it can double as his nephew with an extra head
I'd change Erik to Atlas (his best costume and codename)
I'd add jan's costume from Tony Stark: Iron Man & Agent of Wakanda books
Also throw in small versions of the BAFs
Giant Yellowjacket as well
Modern Giant Man giant figure and small figure with interchangeable heads one for Raz and one for Hank
Ant-Man & Stinger 2-pack scaled-up for giant figures
as well as Nadia scaled up too
Also a Stature
Classic Giant Man
Michael Korvac
Carina Korvac
Victor Mancha

I like her red/yellow "reverse Iron Man" outfit too, but much prefer the current one as its dynamic on its own, and compliments Yellowjacket to boot. Thats moot since theyre divorced of course....but realistically I dont think there's much market out there for multiple versions of Wasp, unless they give her that first body buck from the Ultron BAF. Along with the red/yellow these are my favorite Wasp outfits. George Perez is an alpha level artist but he couldnt design a costume to save his life....every now and then, though, he did it well and I always liked the white/blue thing he came up with. Girlfriend I was dating at the time said it was tacky but I really really liked it. Ok...I've got no fashion sense.ws.thumb.jpg.e9b5c593350f662b92eea075cd984360.jpg

Lots of love for Cassie as Stature and I can't believe I didn't think of her, too!

I never understood wtf these "writers" were thinking, turning Cassie into a superhero, and one that changes sizes to boot??

Why anyone thinks we need multiple versions of Ant-Man/Yellowjacket/Giant-Man/Goliath is beyond me, but you take a character whose entire introduction to the Marvel Universe was that she has a congenital heart condition, and then give her a power that we know specifically can put a severe strain on a human body, really goes beyond stupidity. That could have been a nice part of a story as to why she couldn't join Scott Lang as his superhero partner, but nooooooo. In the juvenile minds of these fools, you aint sh1t if you aint got super powers, even if theyre based on a character that just never could rise beyond 2nd-3rd stringer status.

I dont know that there will ever be enough interest for Hasbeen to produce a Wasp-centric wave, but I know I'd be in for a 2-4pack/box set of 1.Yellowjacket,

2. Wasp (any of the outfits I used above),

3. Ant-Man with removable chrome helmet, Hank Pym & Scott Lang spare heads,

4. maybe first appearance Janet...she did after all give the Avengers their name

5. and maybe Goliath (Bill Foster, but in his big 'G' belt white/blue outfit. That was very cool).

6. Toss in Ultron ....we already got the head from the vintage Vision figure

I can definitely get behind this wave. I 1st read about Equinox in his debut in the 2 story team up arc of Spidey with YJ & Wasp. Claremont writing & John Byrne art, can't get any better! He would make for a very nice figure.

I had to remove several posts that have turn into argument which have very little to do with the topic. Please respect that some people will like character you don't and visa versa. Your view on the comic industry and writers are your own but don't insult people who don't agreed. That goes to all parties involved.
