It's quite a nice figure, but I think I like the Legends better, I don't like the way those side pouches look when in a static standing pose, also legs seem to spaced from the crotch piece.

Agreed, on both counts- the way the pouches stick out to the sides just looks awkward and unnatural, like something is lifting them slightly, as opposed to them having any weight to them.

The hip joint areas just look all kinds of odd and float-y. It's not bad, but the Legends figure is better, cheaper, and in scale with more figures. Marvel Select has gotten pretty inconsistent lately- comic book Taskmaster looks beautiful. This figure is OK. Silver Centurion Iron Man has a tiny head, and the face on MCU Captain Marvel was terribly done. The upcoming Hulk looks very nice.

I agree on the inconsistency of Selects these days, but overall Selects are much better as a line then they once were, it seemed for awhile they were stuck in the Toybiz Legends era of sculpting, but as of late they have greatly upped their game, but yes I do feel that they don't have a standard, each figure that comes out is going to vary from the next, yes Comic Taskmaster is a thing of beauty, the new Hulk as well, this however not so much, not a bad figure by any means but just not as well executed as the Legend. I do think Diamond has come a long way though, good to see them releasing nice looking figures for the most part more often then not.
