In a blog post by Crystal Dynamics' head of studio Scot Amos it was announced that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of Marvel's Avengers would be delayed until next year because their team needed more time to be able to really take advantage of the next-gen gaming features that would bring gamers a better player experience. It was said that if you play the current game on the newer machines that you will experience faster load times and better framerates.

The Kate Bishop DLC character which was originally going to be released this month as been pushed to an as-of-yet undisclosed date. The character is said to bring story content that will show where the game is headed next. Hawkeye's debut may also be delayed.

2021 promises to be a big year for the game as we will see 2021 the an introduction of another hero, a new region, and more story content added.

The blog post also stated that due to a less-than-perfect launch of the game, they were giving all players 1,500 credits, 7,000 units, 250 upgrade modules, 20 DNA keys, and a Sarah Garza-inspired nameplate from October 22 to November 5. This is being done as an apology for the problems people faced at launch of the game. The Pandemic as well as other issues the company has faced this year were reasons given for the why the final released product wasn't up to their normal game standards.

The game is a huge flop. On Steam it has less than 1500 active players. They realised they fudged up and now are taking this garbage game back to the drawing to try and save face. That's what happens when you opt for a stupid live service game where you want to milk people for all their money rather than an Arkham/Ultimate Allience or PS4 Spider-man type game.

This game can rot in hell for all I care

Yeah they better take more time to fix it up, because sadly whatever happened was fiasco, if they properly fix it for next gen where new games will be few they have chance of salvaging game. I can't say anything myself but I really would prefer if this game focused on story line and not on being new Destiny clone. But even in short story mode It's kinda sad that main game has  like only 2,5 Avengers villains in it and just billions of generic AIM robots and not even Ultron drones.
