According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'On My Block' actor Danny Ramirez will be suiting up for the Marvel series The Falcon & the Winter Soldier.

Ramirez will be joining returning Marvel actors Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp, as well as universe newcomer Wyatt Russell.  It's being kept under wraps who Ramirez will play but sources say it will be a pivotal role.

The Falcon & the Winter Soldier will be the first Marvel-produced series for Disney+, but production was shutdown due to the pandemic in March, with several weeks of filming left.  The series is now expected to stream in August.

With a shoot as screwed up as F&WS has been, chances are he's a late hire prompted by last minute rewrites. They probably lost some people due to schedule SNAFUs and he may even be a replacement ala Jackman in the original X-Men

No matter the case, the show is developing into one of those projects where the behind the scenes story will be far more interesting than what we'll eventually get on screen.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable "Falcon and the Winter Soldier Curse" stories to start making the rounds.

Naw, they'll put the "curse" in bag for future use, like probably Captain Marvel 2. Right now they're gonna ride the "Rona Hysteria" till the freakin' wheels fall off.

Wait what? They just cast pivotal role for the show that started filming and  was supposed to hit the streaming service 2 months ago? I'm kinda curious was this about, was it always planned like this or there was some sort of rewrite and change in the story? I guess we will find out eventually.

No, it means his involvement was just officially announced. There was also just a recent report about another actress who had been filming back in March, but nobody picked up on it until now.

There are no sudden recasts going on lmao.
