Oh I thought this was already confirmed, well we all can pretend we are surprised, anyways awesome, I'm pretty damn into it, I think the will do a great job, I think if he plays Moon Knight liked he played his character in Triple Frontier it will be a winning portrayal.

It was first reported back in October that actor Oscar Isaac would be taking on the lead role of Marc Spector/MoonKnight in the upcoming Disney+ Moon Knight live-action series, but now the actor himself has confirmed it by posting this image on social media.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is a bit misleading. As it turns out, he is playing a Marvel character....but its not Moon Knight. Its Moon DRAGON!

He's standing in front of a Moon Knight poster but he's looking at Moon Dragon (you cant see that because of the angle of the camera, but trust me)

Yes, fanboys, it can be confirmed: He's going to play the Kree priestess, complete with plunging neckline mankini. Continuing the aftermath of Thanos, Marvel will explore other aspects of his reign, and will see Moondragon scour the galaxy to purge every trace of the mad Titan's legacy! The question will be, can he do it wearing that high collar cape and boots with his hairy legs exposed!

After much deliberation, Marvel decided not to have a female actor shave her head for the role, but Oscar happily agreed to it. While this won't be the first time a character was gender swapped, studio heads felt this would be a bold move and really bring a new vitality to a character that was first debuted over almost 50 years ago.

Ok, ok, bad joke...but you know you can't get that visual of this guy wearing Moondragon's classic costume out of your head now....

Yeah, after Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira and all the other Dora Milaje actresses, Marvel realized their bald women policy was getting a little out of control.

It appears we may have gotten our first look at Oscar Isaac in his costume in this leaked image from the set of the Disney+ live-action Moon Knight series. This second image give us an additional look. While specific plot points for the movie remain unknown, they basic synopis released for the series stated the following:

"the action-adventure features a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters who appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography."

The series began production in March and also feature star Ethan Hawke in an as-of-yet unknown role.

Thanks for the heads up. Too soon to comment on this photo, out of context and all, but we can at least see some kind of progress there. Great.

Yes, yes, that's all well and good, but does the suit fly and talk like Spider-Man's?

Isn't Ragman a DC property??? Cuz that looks more like the guy from the Arrow TV Series...

. . . and Nightman, and Spawn, and just about every other live-action superhero in the modern age.

At least it's better than Iron Fists jogging suit and bandanna mask, or Smallville's biker jacket and jeans (not even gonna mention Clarks overcoat and black T).
