Trying to look up death dealer doesn't give me much information. I'm starting to think that might not be right for now and may be pushing my theories that it is a codename for Mandarin in the MCU>

Even the Marvel Appendix has very little on him: http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/deathdlr.htm though given he dies within 2 issues of his debut that's not surprising

Your assuming there is only one Disney+ wave coming next year? 😉

Of course not, but it would make more sense to hold off on Loki until we have more info about the series

Has there been even a rumor of a rumor of MCU Sharon Carter?  I was really banking that FatWS would make my dreams come true...

None that I can remember, maybe before Civil War when concept art showed her as part of Team Cap

Sounds like alot of $$ saved so far for me. Shang Chi wave sounds extremely lame so far. Why in the world would Iron man be in this wave??

The main villain is supposed to be the Mandarin, who of course is Iron Man's arch-enemy. It makes more sense than Civil Warrior (though I would still be happy to see him done)

Since it'd most probably be a Hydra-Supreme Cap dressed up in a more patriotic deco (a variant I've been waiting for for a minute), Civil Warrior is pretty high on my list. Pretty sure Hasbro would be more than happy to do it as well.

It is surprising that Civil Warrior hasn't been done sooner.

I know, right? Maybe the story-line was just to divisive to risk the investment?

For all we know, if it DOES happen, it may only be because Hasbro's been forced to push back so much merch, they're scrambling for cheap placeholders. You can't be get much cheaper than a paint-job and a new shield.

Nah. It's more then likely that they knew that they would need a cheap repaint for one of the MCU waves, since 2 of the upcoming wave have loads of figures with whole New sculpts (eternals and Shang-Chi), so they decided to hold off on releasing it until they needed that cheap repaint.

Either way, I don't know about you, but I kinda like the thought that somewhere deep within the bowels of Hasbro there's an "Island of Misfit Figures" just waiting to fill in the gaps in the line.

Kinda makes me wonder how many of my favored characters/variations are in there.

Spot on. If they're really that committed to the Gamerverse element of the ML Universe there's a hellova lot more characters people would respond to than the constant redos and repaints of IM and Cap. The entire Gamerverse gimmick seems like place filler to me.

It's also not an uncommon thing for them to try to put bigger characters in these movie waves for lesser known characters. They did it with crowbarring Iron Man into the Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther waves. Even though those movies wound up being major hits, it's clear Hasbro was trying to hedge their bets somewhat since the characters were lesser known at the time.

So I don't think there's any deeper meaning behind Iron Man and Civil Warrior being in the Shang-Chi wave than Hasbro realizing the overwhelming majority of people don't know who Shang-Chi is yet.

I've said that dozens of time. Hasbro NEVER puts their a-game into a first wave of a new franchise. They always wait for the next movie before this. This is because they are waiting to see peoples reaction to the movies. If they movie does well, they will put much more effort in the second movies waves. Just look at the first GOTG wave. Rather bad MCU figures, a Iron Man repaint/resculpt and Nova (which was great). Then comes the second movie and they pulled out all the stop putting all sort of Cosmic characters into it.

The only one they didn't do this for was Ant-man and the Wasp but this was more poor timing as the Infinity war movie was only a few weeks before hand and they didn't have space for another wave then,

I'm inagining a box full of repaints/retools and someone just picks something out of the box like an Action Figure Lucky-Dip

To be honest they don't really put their A-Game into other waves of the Franchise, Black Panther wave 2/ Endgame Wave 3/GOTG Vol 2 Wave 2 spring to mind

well 2 of the (Endgame and BP) were rushed into production so that why it was bad but I don't agree with the GOTG wave 2. The only one that was bad was Starlord which was just a repaint of the first wave.

there's a blurry photo on IG showing what appears to be the back of an ML 2-pack for both movie versions of Quicksilver (Fox and MCU).  seems pretty legit but again quite blurry so i suppose it could be fake, too.

I saw that and can't really say if it's fake or real. You can see Photoshop settings in the background and I highly doubt Hasbro will release a Fox Quicksilver together with the MCU. Disney would flip if they even tried to as they want to 2 properities to be separate.

If that is supposed to be a 2-pack then I would say its likely fake. As for a MCU Quicksilver this year, well......

We're almost definitely getting MCU Quicksilver. They teased it as HasCon and he's the only remaining movie Avenger they've never made. Given that they said they are planning future 80th Anniversary/First 10 Years style releases to go back and do characters that were missed, he's pretty much a guarantee.

But that picture is setting off my bullsh*t alarm. You can even see a Photoshop program open on the computer!

For the completionists out there, MCU Quicksilver is a must. Me, I'm still waiting on the comic book accurate version. They came close with the 3 pack, but missed some very important elements.
