Nice to see Teresa back. Though what is so important about the resolutions of these stories that can't be done in a regular issue

because people who initially wrote them have either moved on or the comic ended. Some fans want a resolution to those storylines as they were intent but at the same time not interrupting other main series stories.

But Nick Spencer started these stories (same with the Kingpin one) and is writing these and they are immediately following on from the issues that are dealing with the story so giving the conclusion a special one-shot makes no sense

Peter Parker has a sister?  I guess you learn something new every day.

Peter having a sister is not something new. During the Sinister Six trilogy novels (which before anyone said it are canonical), it was revealed that his parents may have been expecting a child during their spies day. It was hinted that a new character, Pity, was that but that was later dismissed.

Even Theresa's introduction follow nearly the same background, except she was the older sibling. It was dismissed as a part of Kingpin's manipulations but it was later said that he was lying. The series ended before we found out the full truth.

Teresa is the younger sibling. Also her parentage was all but confirmed during Chip Zdarsky's Spectacular Spider-Man run

Not a fan of Peter having sister, imo from what I read it doesn't add much or make anything better. I'm kinda positive on Spencer, because he's trying to be faithful to Spider-Man roots and past comic book storylines, but sad he somehow ignores horrendous sins past and also mentions it, but his storylines are way too decompressed and unnecessarily stretched and wordy, which is generally the main issue of modern comics in general.

Thanks for the info. I’ve been reading up on her today.  Somehow this character just completely blew past me.  Obviously I’ve not read Spider-Man regularly in many years, but I thought I Had kept up with the big news over the years. Makes me wonder what other things I’ve missed.

Not really new, but certainly contrived nonsense they came up with about 10 (?) years ago. Its not surprising you weren't aware of it ( I happened to stumble on it myself only a few years or so ago) seeing as how they just sprang it on the readers and then let it wither. With all the universal reboots and rebirths of the Marvel universe, looks like this one managed to stick, at least for these particular writers. By the way, she's a cool super spy. Oh and she has a set of wings. Because Of Course.

Obviously this isn't something that entertains me at all. Really, the long-lost sibling/clone/relative out of the blue trick is just another sign of poor writing and imagination. Its supposed to be mind blowing and really get your interest up.

GASP! When Peter was bitten by that radioactive spider, guess what!! Another kid was bitten too! And she got powers too! But you didn't hear about it 'cause she was locked away. WOW! Tony Stark was actually ADOPTED by a man who looks exactly like him and has his same intellect and charm.

Come on, Marvel. You can do better than this. I dropped reading Spider-Man some time ago, but look in now and again to see if something will pull me back. Oh well, not my cup of tea but maybe for fans of this storyline, some issues will get resolved. Closure is always a good thing.
