Classic 70s Hulk

While I love that Hasbro finally gave us comic fans a classic Hulk fig in the 80th anniv line a couple yrs ago, he was always too huge mass wise for me so when I came upon a Gameverse Hulk at GS on sale for $19, I snagged him with the express purpose of making my own slimmer 70s Hulk. I used the 80th anniv Hulk head sculpt & neck peg for the GV Hulk body. Wiped off the tribal tats with paint remover, washed figure, took it apart as much as I could, sanded down all potential paint rub areas & then used Anita's acrylic paints Purple, Shamrock Green & Olive Green for the finger/toe nails, assembled it back together, sealed it with matt acrylic primer & now I have a keto diet 70s Hulk. Comments/critiques welcome!

Bought that Hulk on sale too. Not sure how much, but it was on the cheap. The body mold is great and I think it's actually well suited for comic and MCU figures. I wish they would use it more oftern. Another buck that's very good and I thought would have been converted for bigger figure use was the Ragnarok Hulk figure. Of course, they would have had to retool the feet and one of the arms, but otherwise the sculpt and size was spot on for Hulk sized characters. It woulda certainly been perfect for Skaar, if it ever gets done.

Nice job! Love that color scheme and paint job! You are spot on with the color choice. My only gripe is the head is a tad too large for that body but otherwise excellent vision of a version of hulk that should def be made!
