According to Deadline, Christopher McDonald is joining Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in Secret Invasion, the upcoming Marvel series for Disney+.

Sources state that details about McDonalds role is being kept quiet but they know it's a newly created character that could cross over to the larger MCU, including appearing in movies and other Disney+ limited series.

In Secret Invasion, Jackson and Mendelsohn reprise their MCU characters Nick Fury and the Skrull Talos, respectively, who first met in Captain Marvel. The crossover comic event series showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.

The cast of Secret Invasion is expected to also include Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Killian Scott.

They are just getting really ambitious here arent they.

What I would like to see, is that the Skrulls have some kind of limitation on their shape changing abilities. Like maybe not every Skrull can do it, not every Skrull can maintain it for long without killing themselves, they can't successfully crossbreed with humans, they can't do inanimate objects...its just too easy for a cop-out device in the plots when the stories get too out there or contradictory.
