Which BAF's have you completed?

When the talk of BAfs and if they are still relevant. it could be thinking how many and which  BAFs have you actually completed. I stress completed not bought, so if you either bought a deluxe version or just bought the figure via eBay or a comic shop, it doesn't count. I completed Jubilee, Juggernaut, Warlock, Sasquatch, Apocalypse, Sauron, Caliban, Wendigo, Sugar Man, Strong Guy, and Tri-Sentinel through buying the figures for my collection. I completed Onslaught (Red Onslaught minus the head, plus the head from Kitty) and Shadow King (Kingpin minus the head, plus the head from Professor X) mostly by trading for and buying the parts individually (though I did cave and buy a Puma, which finally sold on eBay a month or two ago), and I'm currently working on completing Venompool (still need the arms), Demogoblin (still need the arms, legs, and glider), and Crimson Dynamo (still need the torso and left limbs), also primarily through trading and loose piece buying. Everything I have for Venompool so far actually came from buying the figures, though, and I would probably buy a Morbius if I saw it, so I may end up legitimately "finishing" that one too.

Iron Monger and Crimson Dyna-- oh wait, for that one I bought all the pieces loose on eBay except for Spymaster. Iron Monger only then. Now that I think about it there's also the Spider-Man 3 Sandman. I normally don't count that wave as part of my Marvel Legends collecting since it's from my previous stage.

X-men ONLY Collector and I'm proud of it. This hobby is expensive af 😄

6. Toybiz Mojo Series: Bought individual BAF pieces a couple years ago from Ebay. Does this count? Eventually sold the completed figure on craigslist.

9. Toybiz Blob Series: Bought individual BAF pieces a couple years ago from EBay. Eventually sold the semi-completed figure (never got the hands) on craigslist.

34. Red Onslaught: Bought completed BAF in on eBay listing. I guess doesn't count!

This Juggernaut Wave was when I picked up collecting AGAIN. I have to thank the Rogue (and green Phoenix) from this wave for getting me to re-start collecting figures after quitting 5" Toybiz when that Marvel Legends 6" Wave 1 (Toad, etc) was released. I remember thinking Toybiz must be nuts doing 6" figures...

36. Juggernaut: Bought the whole wave. Gave him to a friend. I hated that head. The Juggernaut two-pack with Colossus looks so much better!

42. Warlock*

49. Sasquatch*

54. Apocalypse*

55. Sauron* I didn't want X-23/Wolverine initially so I bought the wing she came with on eBay. I then bought her unopened (I have an extra wing if someone wants a trade) later on.

58. Kingpin: Bought the whole wave (except for bug-eyed Spidey that came with Kingpin heads) when it went on clearance. Paid through the nose for that horrid Red Goblin just to get the leg. Bought Hover chair Professor X and I'm using the Amahl Farouk head that came with for Shadow King BAF.

59. Caliban*

63. Wendigo*

68. AOA Sugarman*

70. Strong Guy*

74. Tri Sentinel*

* indicates I bought the whole wave. So I guess I bought 11 full waves.

Completed from buying the figures needed; Sasquatch and Wendigo

Completed from buying the pieces; Warlock and Man-Thing

I need one piece each for Red Onslaught, Titus, Sugar-Man, and need both arms for Stilt-Man

I've given up on quite a few though, especially recently

A lot, but not as many in recent years.

Going backwards

  1. Mr Hyde - 2021
  2. Joe Fixit - 2020
  3. Sugarman - 2020
  4. Demogoblin - 2020
  5. Wendigo - 2019
  6. mcu Prof Hulk - 2019
  7. mcu M'Baku - 2019
  8. Sauron - 2018
  9. Monster Venom - 2018
  10. Apocalypse - 2018
  11. mcu Cull Obsidian - 2018
  12. Sasquatch - 2018
  13. Lizard - 2018
  14. mcu Okoye - 2018
  15. mcu Gladiator Hulk - 2017
  16. Man-Thing - 2017
  17. mcu Mantis - 2017
  18. Warlock - 2017
  19. Titus - 2017
  20. Sandman  - 2017
  21. Dormammu - 2016
  22. Abomination - 2016
  23. mcu GIant-man - 2016
  24. Absorbing man - 2016
  25. Odin - 2015
  26. mcu Groot - 2014

Started cherry picking waves more and more beginning in 2019.  Plus re-releases of previous BAFs as repaints or in sets allowed me to pick up Hulkbuster, comic Thanos, mcu Ultron, Juggernaut, mcu Thanos, and Kingpin.   Right now i think odds are good we  see a rerelease of Joe Fixit and Venompool.

Also from the list above i did purchase 1 part each for a couple of BAFs but bought the rest of the figures in the wave - iirc for Warlock skipped 90s' Cyclops and for Dormammu skipped Iron Fist. I purchased Terrax off ebay so  i didn't count him as one i've built.

All of them, at least through Stilt Man so far. Some of the parts were gotten at different times, and haven't been combined yet, as they are in different bins in different places, but I have the parts. I am not 100% sure if have all of the pieces for the black variation of Toy Biz Apocalypse, but I have the blue one complete, so I count that as enough.

It’s actually easier to list whom I have not completed:

Galactus, Sentinel, Apocalypse, Nemesis, Jubilee and Warlock.

sold off the ones I didn’t care for either because I got the wave specifically for the BAF ( Kingpin, Sasquatch) or I like most of the wave but could careless for the BAF ( Titus, Abomination..)

To my shame I’ve never completed any BaF, which is weird when you think about it, I still want to complete Mojo and Modok from toybiz, who only need one more part. From Hasbro era it’s Juggernaut who needs head but it’s so expensive on its own now it easier to get whole figure.

To each their own but as someone who had owned both the Hasbro version of MODOK is far superior.

i get it if you’ve been plugging away and at this point it’s a matter of principle but $50 bucks gets you an improved in every way figure

For Onslaught, I need whichever leg came with Scourge (the right one?)

For Titus, I need his cannon arm

Feel free to PM, if you'd like to discuss any further

Ugh. That Apocalypse. I have all the black pieces with one blue leg. Oh well.
