New Marvel Legends Reveal Coming This Friday (7/2) - What's In The Box???

Y'know, I was all primed to be blown away as soon as the month of July started based on the teases and hints made by Ryan and Dan on social media over the last couple months. But after cartoon Venom, MCU Spidey stuff, and Mental Organism Designed Only for Dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock... I mean, I don't begrudge anybody who is excited for any of these, but I am so apathetic toward them that I'm legitimately worried about what else they'll offer (or not) this month, and it's only July 2nd. C'mon, Hasbro, you're not leading with your best foot forward here.

1. Believe it or not, there was a show on Cartoon Network in 2004 with a character called Magnanimous, who was a M.O.D.O.K./Elvis mashup. He was voiced by Bruce Campbell. 3 years before Nextwave.

2. I'll admit I don't really follow these things, but as I understand it, nothing Warren Ellis is accused of is actually illegal.

I can imagine EVERYONE annoyed for this reveal, the most bcoz is a lame "great figure" that becomes an easy pass ... other like me, Nextwave fans, asking to God and Hasbro why we need to buy a version of a character that appeared literally in one panel in one comic to get the Captain ... oh and also is an exclusive 🤦‍♂️

I admit I LOL’d and showed everyone in the room with me ( who all reacted with a blank stare or shrug)

this is veeeeeeeeery niche and I don’t get the allotting a spot when there are so many requested characters out there. Ok I get the need to recoup some cash on the sculpt but this... I mean.. why?!?

Yup.. again we are of the same mind. Even with an exclusive figure, who spends near $80 on a near perfect replica of Elvis in his final years and an obscure character that 20 people care ablut let alone have heard of .

Well, this is certainly a surprise. Not for me, but I can’t deny it’s actually kind of hilariously awesome. It does make me a little worried though. So far we have this and Venom coming to Pulsecon, likely Excalibur too. Anything for the MCU? Unless we’re getting more than usual for it this year, usually we just get a comic and MCU set.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. Wondering if anything MCU related will be revealed for PulseCon.

Its a bit too pricey imo but otherwise reasonable for an exclusive.  Most people won't feel the need to get it, aside from hardcore nextwave fans and folks who just like the novelty of an elvis MODOK.  I think it would be more of a draw if they had at least repainted the body in different colors to differentiate this guy from the mass retail MODOK but whatever, i suppose this is more comic accurate fwiw.

But i guess i'm one of those people who don't' find the need to complain about exclusives they aren't interested in. I mean i love people saying we should've gotten Doctor Strange or Banshee or Box instead - you'd really rather those be con exclusives that either require a pulse premium memberships for purchase or (maybe) go the hellfire club route of waiting an additional 10 months,, rather than having them released at mass retail or as fan channel exclusives?  Doesn't make much sense to me.
