Wonderfully done animated show! They left out some critical parts, like what her shield is made of, but I found it very entertaining and like I said before, the Max Fleischer style really was what held me. Also many of the actors from the movie were on hand to do the voices! I do wish they'd drop the entire season instead of one episode every week, but all in all this was a great start.

Surprised they didn't call her Captain Britain. I guess Marvel is saving that name for when they debut the actual in-universe version whenever they get to it. It would've been cool, though.

She still could be part of the Captain Britain Corps

They set it up so that there could be a sequel story. That'd be interesting.

All in all I thought it was a great show. I liked Wright's narration as the Watcher, but I expected something a bit more unearthly, deeper maybe. REALLY hoping that the Legends figure will look as close to the Byrne version as much as possible!

Finally forced myself to watch the show today . . . and it was freakin' awesome! I'm not sure if it was something they did just for this episode, or if this is the way things are gonna be for all the shows, but there was a certain Fleischer quality to the animation that I never picked up on in any of the previews.

It wasn't all perfect though, but closer than I've seen the MCU get in quite a while. I could just see them coming up with the Steve/Hydra-Stomper face-plant to appease some Disney exec who probably said "Where are the jokes?"

Now I'm looking for both a "Captain Carter" take on the Avengers, and a Steve Rogers take on Agent Carter (with the Stomper).

Marvel has released a new promotional poster with the late Chadwick Boseman in his final performance as T’Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The series’ next episode will show fans what would happen if Yondu’s Ravagers abducted T’Challa from Earth instead of Peter Quill, thereby setting a chain of events in motion that turned the heir to Wakanda’s throne into a cosmic outlaw. Throughout his upcoming adventure, T’Challa will also interact with other Guardians of the Galaxy staples, including Drax.

Boseman will appear in four episodes of What If…?’s first season and lent his voice to four different versions of T’Challa before his death last summer. The nature of the non-Star-Lord incarnations of his character remains a mystery for now.

The next episode of What If…? premieres this Wednesday, August 18th on Disney+.

This one didn't do much for me. You've got Chadwick, Nebula, Yondu and Thanos and a kind of "heist" theme but it just didn't gel. The animation was superb again, but overall the premise was "what if someone else became Starlord"; in this case, its T'Challa before he becomes the Black Panther, and its a pretty predictable result. Sure was great that most of the actors from the movies voiced their characters here, though.

I think a better idea would have been "what if the Black Panther had killed the Winter Soldier", as he originally set out to do in the movie.

At any rate I think the What If...? series has the leeway to step outside the MCU and hit the comics. That could be great.

"what if the Black Panther had killed the Winter Soldier" would have been an interesting teak, maybe if there is a second season.

They will probably stick to the MCU, since that is what D+ is interested in. But maybe down the line, they could do so comic adaptations.

Obsession with jokes even though they have no clue how to write humor or comedy, total lack of any understanding of the characters involved or even the concept of the show they're writing for, and a total disregard for the subject material and any fans of said material bordering on total contempt.

Yup, so far this show is everything I've come to expect from Disney's perversion of the MCU. I guess I COULD give them half a point for that half-@$$ed attempt at a twist . . . NAH.

I'd say at least they're consistent, but the first episode was actually okay, so they they can't even suck consistently.
