Man, I really wish this figure used the same dark red as the original version from 2008. Honestly, Hasbro's overall track record of the shade of Iron Man's armors is a lot of misses and few hits. I've actually been wondering if it's cheaper to make brighter reds so that's why they never land in the proper tone.

Thats my only complaint with this figure. I just wish the red was darker. But hasbro gonna hasbro.

For a very long time they've been using darker reds (Captain America, Thor etc) and I don't like it. This movie Iron Man armor probably should have been darker....but I'm glad they went brighter. However since they gave him these stunted arms it wouldnt surprise me if down the road they re-do it, with proper arms and the darker red.

I guess the figure looks good on its own with the brighter red, but the maroon should be there, especially if you were to compare it to the MK 4 like in this picture. At this point I'm just hoping Hasbro finally gets around doing the "MCU Iron Man armor + Hall of Armor dock" wave and take that opportunity to re-release this figure with the darker red.

Honestly, I think the problem is less the arms and more the torso.  The lower torso, specifically, is too long, and it's making the arms look too short.  A hypothetical "fixed" release would then only have to mold one new part, rather than like... 6-8?

Now i can't unsee torso being too long, but that's fixable, if you replace barbell joint, if it is barbell, since  Hasbro uses their traditional joint that has ball on one end and  simple peg that can only swivel on another end, I don't get why they keep using this instead of having full motion real balljoint that will make posing so much easier. And yeah dark cherry color would be more accurate and I bet we will receive it with another repaint for 15th anniversary of MCU.
