In celebration of the first episode of the Disney+ What If...? animated series that this week on the streaming service, Hasbro's Ryan Ting posted a new image showing off the Captain Carter riding on the back of the deluxe Hydra Stomper figure. Agreed. They could have done a better job with the pose or the camera angle to make it look a bit less ridiculous.

I was going to take a total pass on the Hydra Stomper but now I'm thinking it would be cool to have Iron Man as part of my retro-neo-they're made up anyway Invaders team. I was always liked that comic and was surprised to find it was retconned. Captain America, Namor, Union Jack, Human Torch, Lady Liberty (formerly known as Captain Carter) and maybe now Hydra Stomper. I would like a decent Bucky.

Thanks for trying to pose these figures, I guess, but there are no words to describe how terrible that looks. Good intentions, but I think stay away from doing the exact things that highlight your products most talked about shortcomings, meaning articulation restrictions and scale inaccuracies.

Watched it just now. It was alright; better than I thought it’d be. Still no interest in the figures but I look forward to seeing the next episode.

Also, just every time I hear “What If,”this is the 1st thing that always comes to mind. Woulda been cooler if they did this instead of obsidian.

Haley Atwells Peggy Carter was one of the best things to come out of The First Avenger. Too bad they couldn’t have found a way to get her into modern times.

that being said, Captain Carter is the best figure in the wave IMO. After seeing the first episode I was a little surprised that the Hydra Stomper was a good guy. I just took it as another name for the Hydra Sleeper.

 May get that too.

The figure only comes with one set of hands, so the only way she could hang on the Hydra Stomper is to have the shield in the wrong arm. That being said... that could also indicate that the figure should have come with an extra set of hands.

All figures should come with at least one set of extra hands as standard

I like the new coloring they're using for the rocket blast effect. The phasing of shades of color look great.

Screw that, all figures should have an extra set of arms, legs, head, torso, in fact there should be two different figures in every package

All hail Haley. A real woman, a treasure, and yes, she has the best figure in the wave.

The toy isn't bad either.

Hydra Stomper could've used a bit of shading on the olive drab coat there. Otherwise, looking forward to it!

I was thinking of using her hair for a custom Sue Storm head, but I don't have the customizer skills for that.
