Animated Morbius is a weird choose (though I do like @AnotherPunkChef idea of Emplate). But with the movie coming out it does make sense.

Do we know for sure that the MCU Morbius design isn't going to have those same type hand openings? If they took some inspiration from the animated series it could be the movie figure, otherwise doing figures based on Marvel's animated product is opening another can of worms. That's what I thought the 5.5 inch line is for. Can you imagine the monstrosities that would come out of that line?

What a #$## reveal. Invisible Woman has one of the worst head sculpts I've seen in years. Thing isn't much better. Firey Torch is ok but aside from a few stripes he's basically the same as before and his flame off version is decent. Mr Fantastic looks good but he isn't good enough to replace my walgreens version. High evolutionary and Psycho Man are the best in the lot as they look great.  Overall what a waste of a marvel special. Hasbro is getting lazy imo and just tossing out whatever they can at this point in the pandemic. Thankfully, I see nothing here worth spending money on

By the way, can anyone here confirm if the item number for High Evolutionary is F0353 and if F0354 would be Psycho Man as it was predicted? I pre-ordered F0353 from Amazon, but no confirmation yet from them for what i really got...

the Spider-Man retro card line is "kinda....sorta" based on the animated series. the paint and deco schemes are inspired by the cartoon. On that note, if it IS Morbius, get ready to see THAT trench coat again...

Pretty cool reveals, Reed looks great with that lab coat, Thing is good update that really captures his look from 80-90s but oh damn my poor Sue, they already had an amazing head sculpt with previous figures, I can tell what they were going for but it just isn't well done or polished enough to work, in this case "lazy" reuse would be preferable. Psycho-man is impressive and almost perfect but I would prefer open mouth with angrier face expression, High evolutionary too is not far from perfection  but his colors seem little too toyish, if figure had more of a cherry red with metallic finish it would turn already impressive sculpt into high end looking figure.

I am really not too excited for the Fantastic Four retro wave. If I run across them in a store then I will make my decision if I want to grab them or not. I already have the Walgreens team and after messing around with those and posing them, I just don't know if I am willing to drop more money on a third version of this team. Hasbro needs to hurry up and reveal the Excalibur team set and give us some details of how that is going to be released before I loose interest in that also. Patience only lasts for so long and I get interested in other lines.

Well, Dodge, clearly the team at Hasbro got the memo and pushed out their reveals before you dropped Legends and signed up with the Power Rangers line up.

Yeh, a bit meh. Psycho-man & High Evolutionary and the X-Force 3-pack REALLY work for me - they look great - and I'll pick & chose from the F4 Retro line.

Nothing at all to get excited about there: as a retro line, it's actually a bit lazy (the Spider-Man Retro wave was gold as was the X-Men wave. Both exceeded expectations & were waaaay better than they had any right to be). The last F4 wave was great and I've got all the Walgreens singles. There's not enough 'new' here to make me squeal like a piglet.

Also, spoiler on the Excalibur box: Hasbro Pulse Exclusive. Cost: a lot. How the hell else do they release non-MCU / Disney + 'specials' now?  🐡

Man, I hope the hands on those Mr. Fantastic arms are interchangeable. I know Reed can stretch, I don't need my toys to remind me. Now, what is up with Sue's face?

While this Domino is tempting, it was her figure that needed interchangeable head with long hair, not Cannonball, which got surprisingly generous treatment in this pack and it sadly took things away from Domino.

Right? There was nothing wrong with the older Sue Storm face. In fact it was quite good. This is not.

So Powered down Johnny and Invisible Sue are Pulse exclusives along with Black Hand Ninjas and XForce 3 pack available at 1 EST.

Retro wave including powered UP torch and powered Down Sue are regular releases?

have I got this right? Wonder I’d the Pulse  exclusives will immediately sell out? Be dumb if PEOPLE couldn’t complete a powered down FF because Johnny is too hard to get

I have to agree to more I hear about Galactus the less hyped I am getting. Instead of acknowledging any issues with the high numbers they decided to use fear tactics with Nova. Honestly feeling like I may cancel mine and just get the baf on Ebay.

I thought that was such a BS tactics to try and get people to sign up... As cool as Galactus is I find myself hoping it doesn't make it to the 14k mark just because of the way they are using Nova as a way to fear us into signing up...  I hope it all backfires in their faces..

That's right

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. The Retro FF look way brighter colored than the Johnny initially shown did, and I prefer the older colors. Ben and Sue look... Off, I guess? Compared to the last two releases, and flame on Johnny isn't doing much for me either. Psycho Man and High Evolutionary look fantastic, though.

I still think the bigger crime is he doesn't come with a Jim Hammond head. No I won't stop campaign for Marvel's first superhero to be made event if he is just a swappable head.

Consider me your first recruit in that campaign, sir!!

The original Human Torch is a taller, bigger guy than Johnny Storm. All they need to do is modify the walgreens first Torch. Take the same buck and just give him Hammond's head and red/yellow suit, and you have your flamed-off version for a nice 2 -pack.

I've said it before, Hasbro really needs to do a Golden Age series or box set of heroes that came before the Marvel Age. The Sub-Mariner and the Human Torch were the first heroes, and they need to be made. I envision a box set shaped like a WWII Army footlocker- first appearance Cap with his triangular shield, Bucky, Toro, Miss America (or Spitfire), and the original Vision.  That's 7 right there.

They could do a second box set, or maybe even a massive 12-14 figure deal including Destroyer, Baron Blood, Whizzer, Blazing Skull, U-Man, Red Raven and Warrior Woman.  They could make it available on Pulse first, and if there's a huge demand, then have retail outlets like BBTS, Amazon etc. get it.

That may sound greedy but hey, I got my clear Invisible Woman and flamed-on Human Torch PLUS Mr. Fantastic in a lab coat, so I'm feeling lucky!!

I told you months back High Evolutionary was coming 😉 , both Pyscho Man and High Evolutionary are awesome, and so is the X-Force 3 pack, I'm on the fence about the FF, because I want a Reed, but now if I get that Reed, I guess I gotta get the others so the team can be unison, but maybe just get Reed & Sue (swap the head) and keep the Torch and Thing, honestly still think that first Walgreens Thing is still the best, the wash deco over the rock still makes it look amazing, this new one is meh, Flame on johnny is I dunno good cool but necessary I don't know right now, I need Psycho Man, High Ev and that X-force though!.

also I'm leaning on that hand reveal being Morlun, looks like his palm eyes more then it does the sucky things from Morbius.

Posted

So this tease is seeming more like it will be Morlun than animated series Moribus. The dot pattern is identical to Morlun where Moribus only had 5 spots on his hands. If Morlun then this is likely the one comic book based figure in the next spider-man themed wave.

Last month when they launched the HasLab, this board was full of people declaring that they wouldn't fund Galactus unless it came with a bunch of heralds as stretch goals. This is exactly what the people were asking for, and now to complain that they're being emotionally manipulated... THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED.

Welcome to action figure collecting, the hobby where people get what they ask for and still complain. LOL 😛

I feel like they’re actually two different groups. Those wanting to see the tiers were wanting something to get them over the hump to justify the price. Since they revealed Frankie Ray, there has been a fair amount of people on these boards who probably never had any intention of backing the project but who really want a Frankie Ray. It is latter group which held out hope it would be rereleased later if Galactus doesn’t get funded. If you believe the Hasbro team peruse the message boards, then their comment was to this crowd to not get their hopes up. I can’t blame this group for hoping, but I also think it’s fair for Hasbro to state that it’s not going to happen in the near term, if at all. After all, if I back the project and the tiers are an incentive/reward, it kind of devalues it if the reward just gets released later.

"...Most likely, the way the Haslab team is thinking, having these figures exclusive to this project is the way to get it funded. If they offer the same herald (or at least the same exact version) to everyone, then where's the incentive to participate in this over priced product?

On the other hand, even if they meet the first goal I think its almost certain they won't meet the second without some creative funding wordplay. They'll likely offer Nova sometime down the road, maybe in some different version or in some 2-3 pack format.."

So now they're saying she won't be released in 2022...but things change. I stand by what I said before, if they don't meet her stretch goal, she'll just likely appear later (2023 or beyond) in some form or other.

Totally underwhelming reveals.  Hasbro refuses to make a scale accurate Perez or Byrne Thing & Sue's face sculpt is atrocious. I'll wait on a sale to get the Torch. Porn fingers Reed is a joke. Couldn't repaint the stretched arms from the Walgreens version? Was never a fan of the 2 villains in the wave, so huge pass. X-Force has also never been a must have team for me either. Rictor looks like a member of the Lost Boys.  The last 2 reveals , to tell the truth, have been lackluster. Just Herc, Tigra, Quasar & Sandman on my list for the rest of the year.

No I don't care one way or the other...If it gets made good if it doesn't oh well... Just think it's BS the way they are trying get people to buy this... If they don't think it's good enough to sell on it's own

When they do the Best Marvel Legends of 2021 at the end of the year, that Psycho Man better be on the list. I've never cared much about the character, but he looks terrific. They knocked it out of the park with him (which makes the small but significant problems with Reed and Sue all the more aggravating).
