Both look awesome. I’m not a Miles fan so his involvement is not great news (EEENOUGH with the legacy characters! Are we going to have to have Miles in every Spidey project going forward?!?)  but with any luck, l won’t have to use him in the game.

Hoping Wolverine has the damage effect and brutality of the last one. I THINK the one I’m thinking of had Jackman as the model.

what I’d really love is a comic DareDevil game. Seems odd to me that he has never had one,  not counting the Gameboy one that was released around the time of the Afleck film

I feel the same way. No interest in Miles. I'd greatly prefer that he not be included in this game...... or anything else.

Insomniac is out front the best game developer in the business today. Spider-Man was surprisingly fulfilling and I hope part 2 is just as good. Not sure what to expect from Wolverine. They're usually successful with the high flying, off the ground stuff, but I'm interested to see what they do with a ground based hero. The biggest thing they have going for them is that there isn't a very high bar set by any games featuring Wolverine thus far.

I'm hoping Miles doesn't take over as the MC now that they've established he has his own series.

My original assumptions were that he'd be an NPC for the first act against Venom, then Peter would get the black suit and go bad and Miles would be the Raiden who takes over for the rest of the story, until Pete can get free and the Symbiote goes to Brock for a sequel tease. A game co-starring both the whole time instead would be vastly preferred. I trust Insomniac, though.

The salt that comes up in just about every thread even slightly mentioning Miles Morales on here is always amusing, if predictable.

Any holy #$## Tony Todd as Venom. That is great casting.

Why is it amusing and predictable? Not every character in the Spider-Man mythos is a home run, I’m sure Miles has his fans but I’m not one of them. I want to play a Spider-Man game and to me that is Peter Parker. I’m a fan of the classics, not so much of legacy characters. And Marvel feels the need to include Miles in many of Spider-Man’s projects. Ever hear if overkill? Kinda what I’m implying with the Miles overload. I understand his appeal but it is lost on me.

no one on this thread so far has said ANYTHING inflammatory, just that some of us aren’t fans of the Miles version. It would seem what you are implying is deeper than what anyone has said so far.

It's nice to see Marvel making games again but I am really tired of all these exclusives to one console and it would be nice to them do someone other than Spider-Man and Wolverine.

Agree completely. That’s where DC movies got into trouble in my opinion. The powers that be decided fans would only support Superman and Batman so that pretty much all we got from them for decades. Then behold, they give us Wonder Woman ( well, the first one), Suicide Squad ( well, one of them) Shazam and the fans more than supported them.

Some companies play  it too safe and stick with the sure fire characters instead of taking a chance on say, Daredevil, I don’t know, something out there like Quasar. If done right games with unproven ( in the video game world) heroes could be amazing. I get why companies continue to mine the A listers but it does get repetitive.

When the MCU first started we were still in the era of a video game to coincide with a movie release. We got Iron Man, Captain America, Thor.. not masterpieces by any stretch but they were something different

I agree in hoping Miles isn’t the main character.  I played as Miles in the first game, begrudgingly since they forced us. Then skipped his game because no interest.

But it appears we will be forced to play as him again in this new game. I’d rather they give us Miguel, Eddie or even Mary Jane as a partner this time around.  I mean sheesh, Miles had a few levels on the first game, then his own game, now more levels in this new one. They are trying their hardest to push him to the headliner.

He almost had a PS2/Xbox game in 2003, too bad it got canned, and pretty late into production considering it had a trailer and even some comic ads.

I recall this. I was impatiently waiting for it and was completely bummed when it got canceled. But this is what I’d want, DD’s classic suit, a great story and fight mechanics..

my FIRST opportunity to play as Daredevil came in a game called Marvel Nemesis:Rise of  the Imperfects. Basically Marvel vs EA games created antagonists. DD had a level or two and it was a blast. ( playing as DD I mean, not the game).

then of course he was playable in Ultimate Alliance. But ol Horn Head is ripe for a video game adaptation..

It’s predictable and amusing because, no offense, the same several posters make essentially the same posts on here on every single article on this site that even tangentially mentions Miles Morales or other legacy characters. You can set your watch to it. Anytime there’s a new Legends figure, movie, game or cartoon featuring miles I can find virtually identical posts from the same few dudes on here. It’s  just funny, is all.

This time it’s even sillier because it’s a sequel to a pair of games that already prominently featured the character. Like I don’t know what to tell y’all, but that ship has long since sailed.

I have mixed feelings.

The first Spider-man game was as good (surprised the hell out of me) as it was thanks to being a Perter Parker story. There were a few irritating side character missions, but nothing too bad. Hopefully Spider-man 2 follows suit, but it doesn't look like it will.

Also, I just cant bring myself to believe that Disney will allow a proper Wolverine videogame to be released. I would really like to play through a Logan-centric Wolverine action videogame. I just can't see Disney allowing it to be both cool and released.

The new Sony Spider-Man 2 game was first announce in September 2021 with a teaser trailer, and now according to Marvel it will be released in the Fall 2023.

The game is being developed by Insomniac Games, and brought to you by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the title will be available to play on PS5.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 follows the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and it's confirmed! Both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are back in this next chapter...along with some other dangerous villains. Ever heard of a symbiote named Venom?

Check out some the screencaps and the original teaser trailer below. Hasbro in their last live-stream announced a new Marvel Legend figure was coming based on Spider-Man. We will have to see if we also get a new Miles and Venom figure as well.

I don't really like Modern games, I have such a hard time getting into them, and I try, I played the first Spider-Man, I couldn't beat Kingpin and got mad, gave up never came back, but boy do these games look cool, just too many buttons to push and too many things happening.

I think Wolverine has a ton of potential, I really should try to play some more of these modern games and stop being such wimp.

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend playing on the easiest mode + go into the settings and turn off Quick Time Events.

okay well, I will try this if you recommend it, if this will make the game less complex I'm all for it.

I'm just used to Streets of Rage and Golden Axe if you know what I mean.
