    • D'oh. Mistakes happen. Simple human error, not paying attention.

From the "vintage" Vision, to Silver Centurion, to classic Storm, to all those Ultron figures (till the most recent) and now, Dr. Strange....Hasbro has produced some questionable results on some of our favorite figures. One side of me says "how could you mess this up" but another side says..."you did this on purpose...you're planning on doing the real, CORRECT figure down the line.....AFTER we've paid for all the other versions".

I'm curious which side, if any, YOU come down on. Let's see!

So this is an intriguing question..

on one hand: the comic figures aren’t subject to early art costume designs like the MCU films that eventually get makeovers resulting in inaccuracies in Legends. The designers have years worth of reference material

On the other hand: Hasbro joked that they looked at one Googled pic for the Omega Sentinel and put out an inaccurate figure.

on one hand: they are releasing fan favorite characters with at least one glaring mistake ( Dr. Stranges tunic, Silver Centurions backpack)

on the other: If released again with a correction we’ve shown we will buy them again.

the cynic in me wants to vote it’s intentional because they know many double dip. I mean, the art shows the demon symbol on Strange is VERY light or white in some pics.. how does that get by their approval process?

but, the realist in me says Hasbro has built fantastic good Will with Legends fans, seems irresponsible to intentionally milk their fans for more money in an era when collectors have so many options to spend their cash on.

hmm either vote kinda feels look like a conspiracy rabbit hole that comes down to our own feelings about the intentions and motivations of a small team in a larger corporation.. which obviously is impossible to do..

Totally deliberated, why they wanna sell you a definitive cheap toy if they can sell it a couple of times more "with a different (improved) hat"?

I want to say I don't think it's deliberate, but I also want to say that there must be times it is, for the most part I want to call it the D'Oh factor. I gotta say though we have seen plenty of errors that seem quite deliberate but I just don't want to believe they (Hasbro) are that kuniving.

I don't wanna put my tinfoil hat on for this one.

While I’m not convinced it’s a deliberate act, some of this stuff does make me ponder it. There is a large amount of precedent for companies to provide products that are not quite as good as they could be in order to foster more purchases in the future. Just look at the tech industry, gaming consoles have been using this method for many years. TVs, cellphones, computers all putting off innovation and power for next years model. It has made companies a lot of money. So I would say this is plausible.

It's deliberate due to the lack of research (we used the first image we saw) and trying to save costs by cutting corners.

Yeah that one was used when they tried to explain how they messed up Omega Sentinel's alt head....when we all know full well, they don't just go by one picture off google. Laughable!

What? I thought we were supposed to accept their blatant lies.

Oh I doubt they'd re-do her either. The figure was actually incredibly good, and accurate....they just blew it with the alt head. Better to not have included it at all.  But you'd think that with Dan Yun being such an X-Men fan, and Marvel overall having few Indian characters, they'd have caught this before sending it out.

I thought Dan was a big Spider-Man fan, and Ryan was a big X-Men fan, but all three are big X-Men fans
