Hasbro is asking YOU to help decide what the packaging artwork will be for the Marvel Legends HasLab Galactus project. With help from the ever talented John Tyler Christopher, they are giving you 3 options to choose from (see below).

One vote per day, per backer. Voting ends Friday, November 5, 2021 at 5:00PM ET. Only backers who backed the project through Hasbro Pulse are eligible to vote. The winning artwork will be announced later in November. Click here to vote.

I voted for A.  The upshot is more dramatic and helps to make Galactus feel larger than life.  Additionally, the heralds look like they're on their way to actually go do something, as if following a command he's just given.  In the C piece, they're just like, "Oh, Galactus is eating a planet.  We should fly around him in circles while striking dramatic poses."

I dislike B almost entirely.  You just don't get to see enough of Galactus, the main attraction.

I voted for "A", but I'm not going to go back and vote every 24 hours for it. It should have been one vote per paid purchase.

On a somewhat related note, I finally received the first 1 of 3 Sentinels from last year's HasLab this past Saturday. Still waiting on the other 2.

I voted C cuz it looked like the one that was least likely to have loose knee joints.

BTW, who involved in this process was in charge of labeling these sketches? B usually comes before C in the alphabet. I'm no Alphabetologist, but oversimplification of the lettering process seems like it would have been an asset in this case.

I voted A.

one of the first lessons Stan Lee and John Buscema taught me in “How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way” was that characters seen at dramatic angles sharpen the tension and engage the viewer more than straight on or side views.

I trust their expertise.

BTW: still own this book

Lol. Still waiting on my art certificate.

Apparently though, they're giving those writing certificates away free with every full tank of gas at any 7-Eleven, assuming that you can provide proof that you still live rent free in your mom's basement, of course. It doesn't seem like that much of a problem at first, but then explain how you paid for that tank of gas? Oh, mom's credit card. Perfect!

There was a time when the drawing part was widely seen as the hardest part of making comics, but in recent years it seems like finding someone even slightly competent to fill in the word bubbles around those drawings with a halfway sensible dialog is a Herculean task.

The One-Above-All, himself could not right that ship.
