Cobie Smulders To Reprise Maria Hill Role In Marvel Series 'Secret Invasion'

Deadline is reporting that Cobie Smulders will be reprising her MCU role of Maria Hill and is set to reunite with Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury on Marvel’s Secret Invasion.

The Disney+ crossover comic event showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.

Secret Invasion also has the return of Ben Mendelsohn, reprising his role as Skrull Talos.  Included in the cast are Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Christopher McDonald, and Killian Scott.

Smulders has reprised the role of Maria Hill in every Avengers film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Captain America: Civil War.

Jay, I dont recall if she was in Civil War, but she was in the Winter Soldier for sure.

Was expecting to see her in this as well. Hopefully she can have a more active role.

Given Fury is back, it would have been strange for Hill not to turn up

Good to know she's coming back. They were utter fools not to cast her more in Agents of SHIELD. Other commitments aside, she would've really improved the show.

Great news, though she hasn’t had much to do, her Agent Hill is always welcome. Love her work.

Really wondering how this show plays out? I mean in the comics the Kree AND the Skrulls have been portrayed as warmongers. In the MCU at least Talos’s crew are seen as misunderstood refugees. But in terms of the story, it makes zero sense for the Skrulls to be benevolent. 

Either the rest of the billions of Skrulls are evil or Talos and crew pulled one over on Fury and co..

either way, this show has some interesting promise

Well the synopsis mentions it is a faction of Skrulls, so it could be a radical group
