Marvel Legends Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness Bruce Campbell Pizza Poppa Figure???

The official Bruce Campbell Facebook page today posted this mock-up image for a Marvel Legends Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness Bruce Campbe Pizza Poppa figure.

The post was intended to promote that the movie was now streaming on Disney+, but I think Campbell might also be trying to hint to Hasbro an idea for a new figure to be made for the line. What do you all think, should Hasbro make it happen?

He probaby figures if Michael Pena and Owen Wilson can have figures, he should too, and while I don't disagree, I really do want to see some hard work getting some of these neglected characters out first.

We still don't have any Golden Age figures. Yellowjacket, where is he? A re-do of the farces they tried to pass off as Black Widow and Quicksilver. Gladiator from Daredevil's earlier days. What happened to Blade, or Ms. Marvel? Executioner, Red Wolf, or freakin' WONDER MAN?

I'll also add that I think Bruce was wasted in that cameo, because he's got so much more to him than that. But seeing him has made me nostalgic for some Burn Notice....so I'm gonna sign off and go check out some Fiona Glenanne..."should we shoot them?"

Oh, honey.... you get me every time with that....

Truth. I was expecting so much more. Then the cut scene? I expected him to be some alternate version of someone, anyone, maybe Vulture. But.....no, it was just Pizza Poppa.

I would buy a case of Pizza Poppa figures, please make this happen, anything Bruce Campbell has my stamp of approval.

was he kinda a wasted cameo, yeah sure, should bruce be an actual marvel character in the MCU yes, that would be amazing, but I'll take it anyways.

  • 4 weeks later...

Last month we told you how Bruce Campbell had made up a mock-up image for a Marvel Legends Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness Bruce Campbe Pizza Poppa figure. The image was created to promote that the movie was now streaming on Disney+.

Well now fast forward to today and now Bruce has made the following Tweet:

The tweet shows a screen cap from what appears to be a story on a website called the Unofficial SDCC Blog which is known for tracking all the SDCC exclusives that get announced each year. The article in the screen cap indicates the Pizza Poppa figure will be offered as a SDCC exclusive. Now the story from what I can tell is not on the actual SDCC Blog website, however Campbell indicates in his Tweet that the story seemed to slip out early, so its possible the story has since been removed.

If this is going to be a real figure offered this week at SDCC we will likely find out for sure tomorrow. We will be sure to update you when or if more details become available.

So instead of the Hasbro logo it says "AS". The top of the box doesn't say "Marvel" Legends. The plastic clam shell doesn't match the 3D image previously released. His Tweet says the figure is "making an appearance" at ComicCon, suggesting it might just be a custom job that will be on display. I'd still probably get it, if it were actually released though. I wonder who "AS" is?
