But why?

Why, indeed?

I loved her in Alias. she was incredible and its one of my favorite tv series.

Her role as Elektra was nearly unrecognizable and pointless; that Daredevil movie was so poorly executed that really nobody who was in it came off well. Her solo venture as Elektra was even more abysmal. Why she's doing this again after 20 years ...maybe the thinking is 3rd time's the charm. Also I'd think anyone else is gonna get crowded out in a movie that features Deadpool's debut in the MCU proper AND Wolverine? Hmmm.

This is two sided. For one JG is awesome in anything. The original Girl BA before it became such a widespread thing. No shade to Buffy but this chick was just better. And she was total fitness icon. On the other side is the same thing everyone else has said. Why? While I still loved the effort she put into this performance she was completely miscast and it's just the truth. Equally fit and athletic Elodie Young was no better though. Elektra hasn't been cast right yet. Maybe she's uncastable but I bet Ana De Armas could have a decent go at it. That's off point though. It doesn't actually surprise me JG is reprising her role. The more we learn about this movie it looks more and more like this movie will be a multiverse jumping epic full of member berries and gaffs and callbacks with a fair share of jabs at older movies and dumb ideas. Thsi could be the vehicle Marvel uses to eliminate older and outdated and just plain bad movies and characters and consolodate the entire MCU together. With Deadpool's 4th wall breaking abilities they certainly have no limit to what they can do. I expect this movie to have a little more significance than No Way Home or Multiverse of Madness but nothing quite as extreme as the Flash which was a good movie but Ezra Miller's antics poisoned the well and sent it to an early grave. Again it's off topic but it's worth a watch if you haven't seen it. And it was a decent end to the Snyderverse to lead into the new Gunnverse.

After I heard Ben Affleck was seen on set Daredeviling I assumed Elektra would be showing up, clearly this is going to be Deadpool mutliverse of no way home, but I have a feeling most of the wacky cameos in this film will be more of a nod to how bad those movies were, much like we saw in the last deadpool where he goes and kills off the Wolverine Origins Deadpool, likely in the next few months we will hear more weird fox movie actors are coming back to reprise their roles here likey to have deadpool make fun of them.

if this movie is even remotely as good as the first two then I don't care what direction they go.

Oh man that's looking great, they really got that costume right, I knew this was going to be a thing, and happy but not surprised at how good they got it, the MCU really does try to service the fans for the most part, I'm excited to see this suit in action.

It took this many years to get to see Wolverine in his costume and it's freaking awesome. Contrasted next to Deadpool's costume they both look so insanely cool.

Pretty nice, but a bit annoyed it has sleeves.

Yeah that's an odd one, considering that he never had sleeves before, and that its just that much more material they have to integrate into a workable costume for him. On the other hand I have a feeling that outfit won't be in most of his on-screen appearances. But truthfully we won't know what they're gonna do for at least a year now.

Deadpool 3 is one of many projects affected by the SAG-AFTRA’s decision to move forward to strike and has stopped production.  Production was suspended last night and is considered Marvel's most significant project.

The movie was rescheduled from November 8th to May 3, 2024, but may be expected to be moved again depending on the timeline of the strike.

Lol. I was expecting that announcement any time. I mean why would a project as big as this one not be affected? I was pretty surprised it was still moving forward. A stoppage is one thing but a strike leaves a bunch of writers sitting around on their hands thinking about how to make a script so called better. I hope this gets resolved soon. Seriously I think the studios can afford the demands but they can't afford an extended stoppage. If the Pandemic put the movie industry on life support a long strike could be the stake to the heart.

Deadpool was moving forward with production during the writers strike (for better or worse). They only stopped because now the ACTORS guild is on strike separately. Can’t film an empty set.

Yes I knew that but the SAG accompanying strike aside the production company still keeps many writers on staff during the production of the film for emergency rewrites and reworks and as they were on strike for I think 73 days now I would have expected it to have effected this project sooner. Of course the SAG strike is more salt in the wound because without either of these guys there is no movie. When all is said and done though I can honestly say the strike has substantially effected my life not in the least. I find myself going back to older movies and shows these days anyway to get my entertainment so yeah. Go ahead and make your paper people. Do you. It would be nice to have another Deadpool movie but if it don't happen. Well yeah.
