Joe Locke will play the male lead opposite Kathryn Hahn in the upcoming Disney+/Marvel WandaVision spinoff series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.  We know that the series is coming from Disney+/Marvel, so Locke’s character and the plot details are being kept quiet, but sources within have described the character as a gay teen with a dark sense of humor.

Hahn will be reprising her role as Agatha, and Emma Caulfield Ford is set to reprise the role of Dottie.

Disney+’s WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer is under a joint overall deal with Marvel and 20th Television, serving as writer and executive producer on the spinoff.

Good guess. Looks the part, makes sense that Agatha would screw with Wanda this way ( tho she’s “dead”, I doubt we’ve seen the last of the Scarlet Witch).

regardless, not looking forward to the Legends figures that come with this series.. so far it sounds like a Moon Knight level of disappointment

If I were a betting man, I'd wager he's Wiccan.

He does look a bit like him and there are rumours that both Wiccan and Hulking are going to be in this

That was my thinking. Matches the description, though I don't think I've ever detected the "dark sense of humor" from him, just kind of a dark brooding personality altogether, but I really haven't followed the character. I suppose it may just be a new trait created to make him more palatable for the MCU. All and all this series strikes me as one that isn't meant to follow the comic book roots all that faithfully to begin with.

Just hearing her name and the comment "playing a villain" already has me thinking she's gonna be the breakout star of the show. Definitely she'll be the draw.

I wonder if they'd even consider the comic accurate Harkness as a figure to go with the MCU versions this show will produce....they already made cats that can be used for Salem....

I always wanted them to do a MCU/comic look 2 pack series. That and a current look/first appearance series as well.

Sources from within have informed Deadline that Debra Jo Rupp has signed on to Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Disney+/Marvel WandaVision spinoff series headlined by Kathryn Hahn.

No official information on Rupp's role was revealed but it's believed that she may be reprising her WandaVision role as Mrs. Hart, which she played in five episodes of the original series.

Dayam, this project is on schedule to have no less than a hunurt and fiddy cast members. What are they gonna have, a bleacher section in every shot? Maybe if they'd given half the budget this joint is spending on acting talent to She-Hulk for special effects it wouldn't have been so terrible.

Just kidding, it wouldn't have been any better. The writing and casting was sill horrendous.

The Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata revealed to Mashable in an interview her role as Jennifer Kale, a sorceress in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the WandaVision spinoff on Disney+.

Quote

“I definitely did do as much [comic book] research as I could,” she said. “But the way we formed this character is very different from what I think people expect.”

Patti Lupone, Zamata's co-star also teased her character while appearing on The View.

Quote

“It’s a coven of witches, and I play Lilia Calderu, who apparently is in the Marvel world. I researched her, she’s hot, she’s really hot, she’s got a great body and hair,” LuPone said. “I didn’t know there were witches, I didn’t know anything about the Marvel world. There are witches in the Marvel world. So, we are a coven of witches and the witches are: Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, and [a] Familiar — if anybody knows Heartstopper — is Joe Locke.”

Gotta say this is the first Marvel Studios project I have like no interest in, I am really not sure why they'd even feel the need to do this, seems so left field, I know Agatha was really popular in WandaVision, so obviously that's why, they want to capitlize off that, but seems unnecessary, even more unnecessary then Echo show, which I only had hopes for since I loved Hawkeye (word is going around that Echo is just awful even Marvel Don't want it), making a whole show about Marvel Witches seems like it's lost the point, I also get they keep thinking just because Guardians who were no names made it big, they can make anything big, but they should see that's not true, maybe 6 years ago...but the sparkle is wearing off.

anyways I'll just see what this shows all about, but currently I'm still saying "just because you can, doesn't mean you should"

I hear you. This was completely unnecessary. Agatha has been and always will be no more than a part time baddie that was never that popular to begin with. I know the magical side of the MCU is pretty sparse but there are still so many other characters they could have started pushing. Including the one who shall not be named Mephisto or Blackheart. I think it has something to do with the likeability of Katherine Hahn. I love her and everyone I know loves her but even I think this was a step down in her usual quality of characters.
