Closer inspection of this figure, his face looks pretty bad, maybe it's just this specific figure but something is off, I'm happy to get a Kid Omega, although this wasn't the look I was expecting, but I do like it, other then the weird dame edna glasses and bad face they did this fine for what it is, it's a new character we didn't have plus comes with a BAF piece so I'm happy to get this, I just hope the face doesn't look as crumpled as this copy Dan has

The face sculpt is bad, but I think the character is made to be "ugly" so it tracks okay. Aside from that, I find this figure odd. From the choice of character (seriously, who'da thought?) to the body mold they used. I'm glad they made a new teen male mold but it was totally unnecessary for this character. Not that added articulation is a bad thing, but it only makes all the other figures done on the older (not even that old) Ultimate Spidey  mold look that much worse. Fortunately there weren't many, so I expect to see a comic Miles and Ultimate Pete redo in short measure. Not sure Kid Nova needs it. All in all, my typical approach applies. New comic character = must buy. I got it. I'm sure il like it just fine, but woulda been fine if they'd chosen another character.

i don't get the deal with the glasses. still new character so happy for those who want him in their collection.  i'm not sure i would really even need a  Morrison era Quentin for my collection , so this version of Q is an easy pass.  Of course i say that now but we'll see how far i get with ch'od, never say never etc

As someone who believes that the X-Men are the backbone of the Marvel Universe and really only wants previously unmade characters, I'm a huge fan of this wave! M and Quentin have been in my Top 10 most wanted for years now and I'm also stoked for Ch'od, Chamber, Corsair and Fang. Even though I don't necessarily like repeat characters, even these versions of Cyclops and Emma are pretty great too! More waves like this, please!! My top 4 remaining wants are all still X-Men: Rockslide, Pixie, Anole and Armor.  I hope to see all four of those and more over the next couple of years.

I stopped reading in the late 90's, so I'm not interested in the new characters or costumes from the last (geez) 23 years. I say that to say this: I liked the AoA and HoX waves for the option they provided collectors to opt out of buying figures they don't want.

It seems like there is some general agreement among collectors on some of the more iconic looks (dare I say legendary?). I think they still need to serve fans from all eras as well. Maybe they should do a wave based on Morrison's run, or Claremont's X-Treme team, or whatever comes after that. Give people some of those newer characters that still matter, but allow fans of the iconic looks to opt out.

I'm sure it makes no sense from a financial standpoint. I just want to be able to complete BAFs and save money.

Fang looks awesome! Corsair looks like Chris Evans doing a Zoolander impression. And he looks too young to be Scott's dad, but some paint should sort that out as the figure is otherwise solid. Ch'od looks really, really cheap though man. Using the Abomination baf was clever, but Ch'od usually always had giant space guns or melee weapons. It's these little things this team neglects to do that keep this line from being even more amazing. When they're on and doing their homework, they're Spiral and 80th Cap. When not, they're Ch'od and every other mediocre/ poor effort that could have been amazing with a bit more TLC (and money).

I really like that both M & Emma appear to have way better looking face sculpts then the promo pics, all of these figures look nice to me, I'm really excited for this wave, especially Chamber, M, Corsair, Fang and Ch'od BAF, good wave in terms of getting a good bunch of undone characters out, I'm for sure in for this whole wave minus Cyclops, want all of the characters and the BAF, if the BAF wasn't something I want I may have passed on Emma but she looks good in the end and comes with a Piece.

I really hope this means the rest of Gen X and Starjammers won't be to far away.

Well said. When they turn out figures as expertly and accurately done as War Machine and Spiral, it just underlies how lazy the are with so many others. And it doesn't have to be that way.  I've cut back drastically on Legends purchases because they just don't put in the work and quality to justify my dollars.

That Spiral is about as perfect as could be. They should take a bow for that. And they didn't even try to do the overpriced "deluxe" thing with it. Seriously, I wanna shake their hands here.  But then we have Ch'od. Even as a re-used and older figure, just a bit of a wash or darker paint here or there, would've improved the figure immensely.

Agreed on all fronts, and War Machine is another perfect example of how amazing this squad can be when they're givin'er (very Canadian slang for any unaware). But of late, they've been too frustratingly hit and miss for my tastes when they could literally own all of my collecting money. I want to see the same effort and love and attention to detail given to every single character, and not just the A-Listers, because that's what I would do were I making these.

Well I know i'm not the only one to notice, but all three of the last comic based BAF's have been repaints. Of course, the MCU/Disney+ waves that do get BAF's all get new sculpts, but even the GOTG wave got an undersized one. I think the days of the BAF being a highlight of a wave are long gone. I'm guessing any "larger" character needing a new sculpt that comes out from this point will get the Blob, Mojo, MODOK treatment as Deluxe figures at around $50 a pop. Is it good or bad? Guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. Maybe it means that all figures in a wave will have to sell themselves and we get no more lazy, phoned-in, kitbash, repaints, but I won't hold my breath. For me, I'm at least glad I may no longer be compelled to purchase figures I don't want so I can build a BAF I do want. I dunno, I guess we just gotta wait and see, but I think I can see the writing on the wall.

Quite possibly the ugliest Legends figure in a while. Or at the very least ugliest X-Men figure.

Anyways I know why they went with this look because it's the cheaper version to make as opposed to the shorts, sports jacket look. But at least that would've looked better.

Funny you would think the shorts and jacket look would be the better one. I don't know much about that character, but what I know I don't like. Anyway, this figure is clearly a cost-saving figure.

They probably could have kitbashed boxer short Deadpool with the Hood's torso and jacket and come up with his goofy prep school look, or whatever it is. As it is, this figure will probably become custom fodder for most collectors.

And I hate characters with "Kid" in their names.

Yea I'm not a fan of the character either or most characters from Morrison's run (it's quite clear the Hasbro team is not a real hurry to make any figures from Morrison's run, they haven't even made Wolverine's weird biker look) but at least the school look for Quentin would've been a unique-looking figure.

Without a BAF part this was a skippable this figure. I would've been happy to buy a Quentin figure to put in my villains shelf but this particular one is going in the bin.

I also used to think that shorts, sports jacket look was bad back when New X-Men was coming out (I also hate kid characters in movies LOL). That said this black/pink look is just lazy.

They could've at least come out with a better looking headsculpt, instead of whatever this is.

I'm surprised they actually filled those web pegs on his triceps but otherwise easy pass just glad ML has another good mold body they can use. I will get Monet and Emma or to be precise her legs and torso for my kitbash Emma.

Are they the same arms? When this buck was reused for the Spiderman from the Amazing Friends 3 pack and the Franklin Richards 2 pack the holes were still there.

I just looked at one of the pics, those web holes are still there 🤮

Turns out that Emma is really a nice figure IMO, after opening her up, I actually think the face is pretty nice, it's unique compared to her previous face sculpts, I just hate how cumbersome her big plastic slab of a cape is, she has really no arm movement so the poses are super limited up  top, this figure really would have benefited from Soft goods, if they thought of the functionality of Soft Goods for Hawkeye and his Cycle, it would have been smart to implement soft goods with Emma, Kid Omega bugged me as he has no trigger finger so you actually can't really do a ton with his Gun, he kinda just awkwardly holds it, but it ultimately just falls out of his hand, and when he has it in hand he looks like he has no clue how to hold it and it wouldn't even be usable.
