Marvel Legends with evergreen designs

What are some Marvel Legends that Hasbro aimed to be part of a specific storyline? But their designs do not resemble the storyline that they represent but instead, feel like evergreen.

Sugar Man (the face does not look like his AoA design that Hasbro intended to reflect), X-Man (He needs long hair), Dark Beast (just not bulky enough and the head feels off)

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by evergreen based on the figures you described. Does evergreen mean something like fresh and alive? What is your intention?

I actually think they did a good job of making X-Man look like Steve Skroce drew him, and Dark Beast like he appeared in X-Men: Prime.

I believe he means evergreen as in something not limited to a particular time or even. (Thanks, Siri!)

Hm. I guess I would say most of them seem to fit that. The new Rogue is an exception. She is clearly from some J. Scott Campbell cover, or something.

It’s odd to me that they’d use that one cover as reference material instead of Neal Adams’ art. Would’ve much preferred a face/hair based off his classic designs but yea I know, it’s 2023 and they have to get their modern twists in wherever they can 🥱. Would’ve loved if she was rocking the yellowish green color too but it is what it is.

Hasbro will probably release the Outback X-Men individual like this (modernized) and then drop a box set with more accurate head sculpts and colors 😂
