Marvel Legends Avengers 60th Anniversary Hawkeye With Skycycle Pre-Order Coming On May 9

It looks like Hasbro made irreversible decision that all Hawkeye figures must look like Jeremy Renner, first it was Odin baf and retro and now this. I would prefer more traditional pretty boy comic book looks instead, something that resembles George Perez art and has darker purple too, light purple they went with just doesn't look as solid and doesn't work with plastic they used, Marvel select figure for all its flaws nailed look and color scheme of the classic Hawkeye much better. I think I will wait and hope for inevitable re-release in darker colors and modern H cowl/mask head.

"... an answer I love to hear too, new legs and arms. Hasbro has got to get away from the Sunfire buck for normal to taller characters....it needs to stop. After twenty years of hearing many of us critique characters scale and mass, they should have no problem getting these important details right... "

Its bizarre. They definitely know that there are height and weight differences to these characters, yet from too many of these figures, it doesn't seem like it. Hawkeye should not be on this buck. Just look how excited everyone was to see the first shot of him on the cycle, and how enthusiasm sunk when the bitter realization came....that he's just not going to be on the proper mold. Good figure? Absolutely! But then they hit us with the quite unnecessary sabotage.

Sure, for some people they're just happy to get a new Hawkeye figure of any kind, so they don't really care. But for those who like their figures to scale better, this doesn't do it. Hawkeye is supposed to be 6'2"-6'3", so putting him on a buck that's excellent for 5'10" types (Sunfire), is wrong.

Oh, they're using new parts? Ok, stand your new Banshee or Captain America next to "new parts" Daredevil. DD looks like a teenaged sidekick next to them! Its Kid Devil or Devil Lad....its not Daredevil. This is what they're doing/have done to Firelord, Falcon, Moon Knight, Hawkeye. And don't even get me started on the female figures. At any rate, Hawkeye's here today, so enjoy.

Apparently this dude on Instagram got a hold of Hawkeye somehow. Looking pretty good in height/size.

That's great. It looks like this is the Captain America sized model with butterflies we've been waiting for. Is there a current CA with a motorcycle sometime soon? I'm happy to have pre-ordered this one.

You're not wrong about this but it looks like they finally did Hawkeye solid with this new model. I was okay with him on the previous body but this is much better. I also very much agree with you about DD but I assume your talking about the last one in the 2 pak with Elektra but I think that was just a cheap way to get some use out of the RYV body. I expect a upgrade for DD on the Vulcan body pretty soon.

That's great if he's a more correct height! Fingers crossed, good news man.

The price of this seems way too high here in Canada it's 72 , I really only want Hawkeye, so I'm hoping that it goes on sale at some point, not paying 70 + for a single figure, also seeing the vintage wave Hawkeye next to this guy, maybe I'm fine with just keeping that one I have for now, which is the Odin wave one.

He will be a better height, technically he should be 1" taller than Cap, but 1" at 1/12 scale is only like .083 of inch which would be hard to notice accept this mold is still slightly shorter than cap.

Why wouldn't he post the figs with equal distance between the feet? Still looks leagues better.

Thanks for the comparison super-chillin. I feel the same way about the pose Itsybitsyspider... if you are comparing two different eras of the same character figure, why not have the legs the same width apart for the best, most accurate comparison?  I guess those aren't Sunfire thighs after all, although they have that skinnying effect as they approach the knees. I would rather have nice large quads right up to the knee joint like on Vulcan and Grim Reaper bucks. I was all in initially, but as Atlantis points out, enthusiasm has faded as I get a better look at him. If that soft material looks as bad in person as it does online, I may wait for the eventual re-release that has a soft plastic skirt instead... to bad too, because I've always liked his skycycle, going all the way back to his first four issue limited series. Oh well, plenty of time to think about it.

Its bizarre how they put money and time into it only to throw in enough "wrong" to make fans say this kind of thing. I just can't figure it out.

I know the official reasoning for it will be because they needed material flexible enough to not affect his sitting down on the cycle but this is a case where something like that rubbery material that McFarlane uses for his action figure diapers would work better and look better. Even on the official pics that thing looks extra flimsy and even off center in some of the pictures. Which makes it so weird that I never saw it before. The pictures from the Instagram only confirms that it is. In the end its just hey do whatever you need to do to not make hime look like that Cosmic Ghost Rider thing. In this day and age that was just WOW.

Really liking the color scheme on this new Hawkeye.  Definitely bringing the nostalgia feels on this one.

I'm worried about the soft goods. BUT In a few pics they look like they could work. I guess time will tell how they hold up in the long run. I could see this getting a crease after storage..

I will be getting and a hoping in hand it all comes together

That sky cycle would be even cooler if the seat had some storage capability, or if there were some   tiny lights. Also some kind of clip or peg for his bow that he used to store near his leg. Good vehicle idea for Legends!

Yeah, a clip for his bow would have been a nice touch

I havent had a chance to watch the video yet but I like this already. I like that it's noticeably larger than the previous one but I would have likied to see if the head sculpts could be swapped. Is that weird looking figure in the middle the Marvel Select one. I don't collect them because the scale is all over the place but wow I never knew how bad it was. This is another clear win for ML. I can't wait for mine.

After seeing these new pics of this Hawkeye, yes It's an update, and colors and suit are much better then previous, but I still hate the face, the face on the previous figures was just bad, Bulbous nose and just overall a fairly unattractive face, this one doesn't really do much better, I'm still not convinced I need this figure, not for the price since I don't want a Skycycle, is it better then the older ones Yes, but is it really that nice, not so sure, not really the biggest Fan of Hawkeye's look, never have been, is he a cool character yeah...but he's not a cool character standing on my shelf.

Have to agree with  you on the face; I'm not sure why they chose that look for him, especially when you consider the sculpts they've used for the likes of Captain America, Hyperion, Banshee, Blue Marvel (figure was way too small but that face sculpt was incredible).

Skycycle is looking very good. Maybe it should be a skosh bigger, but at least it looks like it could actually seat a rider for the thing as opposed to the tiny bat gliders they've been pushing out for the Green Goblin and company. The Toybiz version was bigger and made more sense than these last ones. But yeah that skycycle looks good, especially that big clear windshield. Very nicely done.
