That would be more than mildly infuriating, and I would expect a crapton of returned product missing the unmasked headsculpts in stores.

not going to be as big of a problem anymore. These will be window packaging. the Disney+ wave was the last wave with nonplastic packaging.

I once came across DC's The Ray shoved inside the Old Man Logan/Hawkeye 2pack.  I think we'll probably still be seeing some head thievery on these.  That's awesome if the D+ wave is going to be the last windowless one though.  Seems like quick turnaround from when they announced they were rescinding the plastic-free policy (as far as corporate timelines go, at least).

Beyond being revealed, was there anymore information given about the new Vision? That’s really the only one I saw from Sdcc that I want… besides Mindless Ones but not buying a wave just for that.

They put him on the taller, more robust new Vulcan model, so that was great. He finally has the cord around the collar of the cloak, as is the classic version. The collar could look better but its good; at least they didn't make his cape silly and wimpy looking. UNFORTUNATELY.....they still messed up the belt and boots.

Yeah a lot of people want the Mindless Ones as a troop builder. Dont think anyone's buying multiple waves just to do that lol

As far as the Infinity Saga Wave I'm so over it. That was stuff they should have done long ago. Right now all they're doing is trying to mine old movies for material back when the MCU still had wind in it's sails. Then they're just going to go back to pushing the current junk that's been bombing since the end of Endgame. The NWH is something else altogether. It's older characters we always wanted but with a modern update. I'm interested to see how they turn out. Most likely I'll be cherry picking. Unless they make Doc Ock the BAF. Which is what they'll probably end up doing.

Had two thoughts recently.

1, it was odd that there weren't many Spider-Man releases previewed at SDCC, and 2...upon looking at all that's available, I couldn't help but notice that there really isn't an ideal option for a Raimi Green Goblin. I really wonder if Hasbro might revisit the first suit design eventually.

But going further than that, I wonder if there's any possibility that they might revisit other old movie designs. Like maybe a black suit Tobey, or a Raimi Venom redesign that's somewhere between the Sandman Wave version and the 2018 film version (in terms of height/bulk/articulation).

I was wondering more about how he is being released — a single or 2+ pack or what. I don’t mind the belt, boots and gloves painted on (because they kinda look that way in the comics) but it looks wack when they extend the paint over those cuts in the limbs. Other than that, I like it and hope they revisit the white version based off this body too.. if they can get the cape and deco right.

I see Hasbro is sticking with the unfortunate trend of redoing previously released characters. With so many characters that have never gotten figures this is becoming annoying.

Well, here's hoping they are improved at least, whether it be better paint or molds

At least Banner and Fury should be good

I hear that, too. They should've gone with at least a handful of Golden Age characters, during that 80th anniversary. They could easily make some of those that not only haven't been released before, but would finish up some of these teams they have out there.

They DID go with one that was REALLY off the wall...Crystar....so there's hope.

And I'm not talking about an "all obscure" or all never-released wave necessarily, but maybe throw in Killraven or M-11 for the next wave, whatever it may be. Red Wolf, Firebrand. Warriors Three...that's been a criminally crossed over set. Man-Wolf, MAULER, Red Widow, Impossible Man. Be nice to see these before hasbo scrapes the bottom of that "regular" list.

Nah, the original leaked list had Doc Ock as a standalone deluxe, and considering how accurate that list has been so far, that's how I'm assuming he'll be released. If there is a BAF for the NWH wave my guess is it'll be either Lizard or Goblin's glider.

The Infinity Saga wave is good in concept but very half-assed. I'm thrilled to be getting MK 2, been wanting him since MK 3 was released, Civil War Spider-Man and Fury are in desperate need of a redo, so I'm cool with those, Bruce is a new version at the very least, if not a bit boring, but the MK 46, Cap, Black Widow and Thor are all annoying to me. It's very reminiscent of the Black Series Archive line, just redoing old figures with face printing and some new engineering, so I may end up getting them to replace the old ones, but for a special Infinity Saga wave, they're disappointing. We still need so many new characters, where's Whiplash, Ancient One, Malekith, Kaecilius, any of the Iron Man armors we don't have yet, the Warriors 3, or hell even redos of characters that actually need redos, like TFA Cap, Avengers Loki, the MK 4 and 6, etc, etc. I get this is like last year's Black Panther Legacy wave, it just could have been so much more...

We would only get some of these characters if this was a full blown anniversary program like in 2021. This one is, like you're saying, similar to the legacy line from BP, which evidently means no new characters. I don't think this one's bad (assuming that the figures won't be only repainted versions, they all need more than just a new paint deco..), but I'd much prefer something like the first line with new characters and not just a ''bonus'' of it. Hopefully we'll get something like that next year.

Yeah, it would have been nice if the 80th. anniversary stuff actually celebrated all 80 years, not just the past 62 or so. It would have been the ideal time to do true Golden Age versions of Namor and Bucky, finally do Hammond Human Torch and possibly Toro, redo first appearance Cap, maybe give us a GA Red Skull, and throw in an oddball character or two, like The Whizzer.

Yeah, I would really like to see more oddball characters overall. I know certain characters will just always have good demand, so I understand all of the Wolverines, Iron Mans, etc., but too many of the other figures tend to be very modern, like Marvel Boy and Kid Omega, when there are so many decades worth of interesting figures/characters to be made.

Yeah I really think that the Infinity Saga sub-line is kind of lost, it would be far more fantastic if they actually stop re-doing things and gave the MCU collectors figures to fill the gaps in their displays like the above mentioned, plus so many things like Chituari, Outriders, Killian, how have they just not gotten to any of those guys yet?

It seems like they only pop in a new figure every once in awhile, it really shouldn't be that way.

Yeah, Hasbro seem more interested in updates than new characters

I presume it's likely for 2 reasons, one is that it's a safe bet to re-release the popular characters again, since they would imagine that they'd sell, also because a ton of them don't require a large amount of new tooling, just a better face scan, case in point with MK II IM, since it's just a repaint of MK III, or a re-do of Gladiator Hulk.

I imagine they probably also saw how poorly things like Odin, Happy Hogan pack, Quicksilver, Obadiah and Iron Monger sold, those sets are lingering around still for relatively cheap, so they probably crunched numbers after that program and said...lets play it safe?

but the Surtur which was all new, was probably the best selling of that program, he was barely seen in stores, so who knows.

Actually I think Hasbro has been giving us many many new characters over the years. In fact I have always said that one think Hasbro does better then Toybiz and McFarlane or any other company is their character selections.

Sure we get more remakes nowadays but that is because many new collectors jump aboard every day.
