As a long time DD fan I am sad to say this is my least fave look for him. I'll get it though as a true fan must. I'm so excited for Lady B and a Blade that doesn't stand all bent over like he just slipped a disc stabbing vamps. I get more and more disappointed every time I see that Power Man. What a ridiculous reason they gave for not being able to give him crunch articulation. I mean why don't they just lie to us? The Joe Classified team didn't seem to have all that much a problem doing it for Gung Ho. Maybe someone at the ML team should consult with them on how they were able to crack that technology first despite being at least 12 years behind ML. Clea was as big a surprise as Shiklah was in the Guido wave but that's another one of the ladies to check off the list and I'm glad to have it. The Fist is cool but I already got like 20 Hand so I might pick up a few to mix in with them. Assuming I can find any. Again, great job not double packing the army builder Hasbro. Could care less about the Iron Man they just pulled out of thin air to shoe horn him into the Midnight Sons game. Among others. Remind me to pretend to be surprised when the MS's Wolvie makes it into the next X-Wave. Don't need a Mindless one if getting multiples of them will cost me 1 bill and a half each. Another ridiculous move. You could just feel the air being let out of the room when they announced the BAF and then the dumbfounded look on the audience's faces at the decision was priceless. And the look on the teams face after they had just seconds before been so so proud of themselves was equally valuable. It's times like this when we realize just how out of touch these guys can be sometimes. As if the Captain Marvel wave and the Eternals wave wasn't already proof enough. The longer I collect ML I'm starting to enjoy not having to get every BAF and casually cherry picking these waves.

I hear what you are saying with Gung Ho, but they are not exactly the same thing. Gung Ho is wearing a vest, so he would be able to bend forward with nothing in the way.  Powerman is wearing a shirt that comes together in the front, so the engineering would need to be different...like the Hank Pym figure from the West Coast Avengers set where the articulation was built right into the sculpt. I still love the figure, but yeah, it would have been cool if they had figured out a way to incorporate the crunch (and included an angry head sculpt, like the Paul Harding Marvel in the 1970's design). Like you, I'm enjoying not needing the BAF and being able to cherry pick since I almost have everything I really need in my collection.

Blade - I think this one looks awesome but all I’m really wanting is his Nightstalkers look and maybe his 1st appearance.

Luke Cage - Awesome as well but I’m alright waiting on a release with blue bottoms. A different facial expression would be good too. Like I said before—knowing Hasbro, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that and threw him in a 2-pack with classic Iron Fist. Also, kinda bugged that they didn’t wait on safari jacket Wonder Man because these arms and legs would’ve been excellent.

Clea - Nice but since she’s in her more modern deco, I don’t really care to have it.

Would’ve loved to get some Mindless Ones. Hard to imagine why they’d think it’s a good idea to make an army builder a BAF.

Who knows? They seemed to already know wasn't a good idea, and there's an interview (with Boog Nice, I think) from San Diego  where Dwight indicates that they're planning some kind of variant for single release.

Truly ridiculous. Not to mention ToyBiz didn't seem to have a problem with it, and hasbow didn't either when they did that walgreens Sub-Mariner.

Another example of how they make a figure in high demand, but then pull something like this. It's not horrible, its VERY good, but it's like they deliberately made that one thing, that one error, that sinks an otherwise terrific job. It's just impossible to understand the reasoning behind their choices.  Just like the silly sleeves on Mockingbird, or the lack of leg pockets on Pym. Maybe he should've borrowed a spare pair from Spiral.

I know the vest on Gung Ho was not attached at the bottom and it looks like the one one Power Man actually tucks in between the joint but I'm positive the shirt overly is itself made of a fairly pliable material similar to his vest. What I'm basically saying is they could have put a fairly functional crunch under there and it would have been not less unattractive than any other crunch joint on any other male figure and would have actually been partially covered by the overlay. Had they just leveled with us and just said we could have put a crunch on it but the overlay would have basically forced it back straight no matter what you do effectively making the joint useless so we decided to save on trouble and money and just eliminated it I think we would have been cool with it more or less. But they talk to us like we're stupid and make up some BS excuse that we all know is BS and they stick to it. I don't know about anyone else but to me, between them testing out the diaphragm joints on figures like Scorpion where it  wasn't necessary and the waist ball joint with this Power man it kind of seems to me they are testing the waters to see it they can actually eliminate the need for the waist swivel/crunch joint combination altogether and start using one or other of the previous mentioned options. Yes I'm the pessimist fan. I do enjoy their products but Hasbro already has plenty of cheerleaders but I'm not one of them. The first thing I look for in every product is what they did to cheap out in production. Some products it's harder to find than others that are obvious but the one constant is there's always something. Sometimes it's minor or completely understandable and sometimes it's totally laughable and sometimes it's just outright cheap or frustrating. This to me is one of those frustrating times. Because they totally could have come at it from another angle rather than treating us like we're completely brain dead.

I said it before 1,000 times and I'll probably say it 1,000 more by the time this flies over but that articulation on Power Man is a darn tragedy. Hopefully they'll be able to crack the secret of including both ball joint and crunch joint harmoniously by the time the modern Luke Cage gets it's figure. SMH😒

On the other hand I really like both female face sculpts. LadyB looks appropriately psychotic and while Clea is not that traditional comic beautiful she does have a certain real world beauty. Almost like they started scanning real faces like in the TB days.

I'm super excited for this wave! I pre-ordered everyone except Daredevil (skipped the Elektra from that run also) and I ordered 2 of the Fist Ninja. Clea is easily the star for me, though! Although Lady Bullseye is pretty great too.

In retrospect we've gotten some great figures of previously unmade characters this year! Clea, Moondragon, Amadeus Hulk, Monet, Quentin, Valeria, etc.... It's been a very good year for me as a Marvel Legends collector! Those are what I love. I personally don't ever get at all excited about slight improvements over the A or B listers (even if I do end up buying many of them), but will always geek out over the more "obscure" characters showing up in the line for the first time.

There's not really any other way they could have done the articulation though. If it was a diaphragm joint it would have put an awful looking cut across the chest and if it was an ab crunch it would have been useless with the shirt over it. If they had done him like Walgreens Namor with just paint, people would have been complaining about that too.

Jesse was pretty excited for the Clea figure and he was damn right to be. Gorgeous figure. the only and only downside is the single elbow but that is more due to her gloves getting in the way.

This wave in all is a fantastic wave, with MS Iron man being the only "dud" of the wave but I use that term loosely.

This Mindless One Wave is likely my favorite wave of the year, These figures look amazing, Finally a Clea (I've been asking for years) and she looks wonderful, Awesome updates/new Versions of Blade & Luke, Finally a Lady Bullseye and she is also super great, Fist Ninja is a really cool figure with that additional Skull head, Even one of the least exciting figures in this wave being Midnight Suns Iron Man is a really nice new Deco, love that Black & Gold, BAF is super cool, I'm getting this entire wave, but will pass on DD, it's the least interesting offering here (IMO) and glad it doesn't come with a BAF piece, Stellar wave! can't wait for it.

This is the first set in a while that I just ordered from EE. I wanted a DD in package as well as out, so it worked for me. If IM had been the double pack/no baf piece, I would have just gotten the baf figures. Still sick of IM being jammed into sets like this and the Marvels set, so many obscure characters I want. But I get it, he's a sure shot seller. But yes, the Clea looks amazing and is the star of the set for me!

I still have the TB Powerman and that has a fine ab crunch. No real reason it couldn't be done now, 17 years later, and with improved techniques.

And I gotta say, while I'm sure the Legends is an overall better figure, the 2006 torso/shirt looks WAY superior.

I hear you on the cheerleading thing too. Some just love anything hasbo puts out, others just want the line to be the best it can be.  Calls of "negativity" or "pessimism" aside, the point we should all be getting on these forums is this: Product Improvement. Speaking for myself, that's all I'm really calling for. This "negativity" is really just a product improvement suggestion. This is how we got Wolverine's size to change- he used to be the same ht as all the other 6" figures, remember? Its how we get biceps swivel and double elbows and things like that, that people tried to say "could not be done".

They hit it out of the park with Spiral and War Machine (in fact most of the Iron Man armor suits have been OUTSTANDING);  we just want to see that care across the board.

The paint application on that Iron Man figure is stellar. What detailing!

I do like that Iron Man. Reminds me they haven't done Mk 42 yet. Not positive I'll get it, but it does look good. Of course still waiting to see if they do an actual fa red/gold armor, not to mention the Prometheum and Ultimates sets. This one is looking very good.

We'll see when I get em in hand, but I'm not minding the waist thing on Luke. The pictures really make clear how much we need a Danny in the 70s gear though. And a comic Coleen while we're at it. I do get a little annoyed at how much gets dumped on us at once. These were supposed to come out Jan. I figured they'd ship out in Nov or something. But I feel like a shipping notice will come any day now. I wish they'd spread out the releases a little more. Of course, that really doesn't matter with how much they've been releasing lately. The toy addict doesn't care, but the bank account wishes they'd give us a break for a few months!

Well I can now admit this Power Man figure is not as bad as I thought it would be. No it is so much worse. Not only the ab crunch thing but my dude is even smaller than both previous. Yes and I know some will say he was much more slender in his earlier appearances and I will admit that but I was just hoping it would be more or less and upgrade to the Thunderbolts version which would have been good if not for that foooogly Hyperion body model. I guess the chain belt is cool and he more or less looks the part but he'll only take up a spot in my display until they get around to doing a new more modern version update. And one that people can get ahold of easier. Seriously it's way past time for that. And am I the only one that thinks it's not too much to ask that some of these classic characters could come with an alternate Skrull head sculpt. This is one in particular that should have. I bought and no regrets because I knew what it was going to be. I was just hoping it would come out better than it looked. Like Monet and Yelena did. But that is not the case here.

I'd love for them to just have a Pulse exclusive of a package of several different Skrull heads in various comic costumes that would fit recently released figures. It would be so easy for them to do. I'd buy it instantly. I've got generic skrull heads on several comic characters' bodies already, but the "extra" of a specific Iron Man Skrull head, Cap skrull head, Mar-Vell Skrull head, etc., Elektra, Spider-Woman, Black Bolt and on and on and on....    It would likely need to include some extra hands to work really well also.

For this Luke specifically - maybe not the best fit since it probably wouldn't look right without a green overlay for the bare chest also - but just my opinion.
