Marvel released a teaser promotional poster featuring the God of Mischief racing around the clock.  The countdown is on — Loki Season 2 premieres in 100,000 minutes or October 6, 2023, whichever comes first.

Loki Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous Multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

Trailer looks really good, I love the vibe of Loki series, this has me hyped still, I won't try to get my hopes too high, because I've been let down before I.E. most recently Secret Invasion which I was very excited for and it wasn't exactly what I hoped for in the end, but this seems to be the same mood, cinematography and writing as the first season of Loki so I hope it's going to be just as good,

I think there's already too little content to justify keeping my Disney+ subscription going every month. 2 months in between shows is just too much for me. I'll cancel and get it for one month again once the Loki series finishes and the whole Echo series is dropped at once. The fact that they're planning on reducing content makes it near worthless for me to keep paying for this every single month. I only watch the Marvel and Star Wars shows on there and nothing else. I never re-watch anything more than just the one time and I always see the movies in the theater.

I have enjoyed every single D+ Marvel series so far except Ms. Marvel, which was just too slow and juvenile. She-Hulk might have actually been my favorite, believe it or not. I love it when they involve lots of lesser known comic characters!

I won't say anything yet. The Secret Invasion trailers had me hyped and I expected the show to be good, but it turned out to be just bad for the most part. That finale was just stupid.. Anyway this looks good, but I don't wanna fall into the same trap.

Yes, Secret Invasion was poorly written but a poorly conceived idea in the first place. It becomes all too apparent with the finale. If they want to do a story about MCU Fury, then look into how he missed Hydra infiltrating SHIELD for so long....this could have been his redemption story. I know, I know, the Secret Invasion had the Skrulls and it was in the comics and was considered pivotal.....but the series we saw was not that. It was dull, plodding, and ultimately senseless.

Loki, to me was the worst D+ show next to that Ms. Marvel thing. I honestly don't know why this got a 2nd season, but Falcon and the Winter Soldier didn't. Hope the new series does better.

I agree with you about Nick Fury and this not being the right story to make his own. The idea of a HYDRA infiltration of SHIELD redemption type of story for Fury sounds more interesting and the foundation for it would be there already. How would it be relevant now is a question, but then they made a Black Widow movie after she died.

Loki for me definitely wasn't that bad. I don't give it all the unnecessary credit that a lot of people do, though and for me it was never THE best show. But I hope the new season is even better.

Fury got deeked TWICE--by Hydra and the Skrulls....and then he runs back up to S.A.B.E.R.---it's not a good look for THE spy.  LOL.

And Loki is like some damn fever-dream, nightmarish and disorienting......but it's supposed to be.  Tom Hiddleston carries it though, without him I couldn't stand the show.

A new behind-the-scenes featurette offers a sneak peek at what's in store for the upcoming season, which sees Loki and Mobius on a mission to fix a fractured reality plagued by "time slipping." Facing a troublesome Kang variant, played by Jonathan Majors, Loki must navigate shifting timelines to save the universe. Check out the new featurette, which showcases Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan who joins the cast this season as Time Variance Authority archivist Ouroboros, aka "OB."

Kind of worried about giving this show a chance after series such as Secret Invasion and She-Hulk. But then again the new Ahsoka series has been a redeeming series after watching Obi-Wan and Book of Boba.

The first season was very good. Unless there was some kind of creative shakeup on the show, and I don't believe anything like that happened, this second season will probably be good, too.

I enjoyed the first season too. And just like you said, the second season should be too unless there was some creative shakeup on the show.

The second season of Loki made its debut on Thursday and garnered a total of 10.9 million global views within its first three days on the platform. This makes it the second most-watched season premiere of the year for the streaming service, with the first place being held by the Season 3 premiere of The Mandalorian in March.  Disney defines a view as the total stream time divided by the available runtime. While Disney has not released specific viewership data for The Mandalorian Season 3, Nielsen reported that the first episode accumulated approximately 823 million viewing minutes in its initial days on Disney+.

The strong audience reception for Loki is evident, especially when compared to the last time Disney shared viewership data for the premiere of the latest Star Wars spinoff, Ahsoka, which was highlighted over a five-day period.  This success is not surprising, considering that Loki was one of Marvel's most successful series on Disney+ right from the start. It was the first Marvel series to receive a second season and, as of May 2022, it remains the most-watched Marvel series on Disney+ to date.

During its premiere in June 2021, Loki achieved the highest viewership on its first day compared to any other Marvel series on Disney+, attracting 890,000 households in the United States, as reported by Samba TV. It continued to break records throughout its entire first season.

Loki Season 2 is expected to run until November 9.
