6197 now and it's been 2 hours.  Gaining 100 a day plus over the last 2 days,

LOL no its not, at least not so far, but since 10PM et last night to 5amET (7hrs ago) as I type this its gone from 6,177 to 6,211 which means its gained 34 new bakers. So if it maintains that current pace for the rest of the day until 10pm ET tonight it might eek over 100 backers today.  So the good news is that would be an increase over the last several days, bad news is no where near enough a boost to get it to 10k in just the over 5 days left to go.

And yes as we enter into the final days the campaign should almost assuredly see an increase in daily backers. There is little doubt about that. And because the stretch goals are pretty lackluster, even if people start to except that those stretch goals won't be unlocked, they are less likely to cancel their orders because they are primarily  backing this for the main item and not the stretch goals. So unlike last year when we started seeing a mass exodus of backers because many were backing for the stretch goals, I don't think we will see that here.

The question isn't really if we will see an uptick in the final days, the BIG question is how much.

Man I'm going to be so bummed if this doesn't fund....while I still love my TB Giant Man, he is long overdue for an upgrade.

The Skrull and Zombie heads will never see the light if day. Really wish he had ANY worthwhile tiers.

I think my biggest "fear" I guess is what youd call it is if he doesn't fund is that it would be a bad way to end what had been a magnificent 60th anniversary.  I get people's hesitation (size, bad tiers, price, no 6" figures) but I also feel like it's this Haslab or nothing for ever getting an updated GM...

I was a day one backer for the first time with a Haslab. I get these projects have their ebbs and flows and even Galactus wasn't a sure thing until very late but my once absolute confidence that GM was a slam dunk has given way to the fear that he will miss by a wide margin. I'm kinda in a place now that even if GM pulls a Galactus and blows away the tier goals at the last minute I think Hasbro needs to lay off the Marvel Haslabs for a bit.  If only to build excitement for the next one down the road. Or at the very least, shorten the campaign by a few weeks to have these either pass or fail without the weeks of speculation.

I still think there is a decent chance Hasbro is sitting on a bunch of international backers that they are waiting to add to the counter at the very end at which point this IMO will end up getting funded. The fact they have ignored any questions asked about that says they are to me. For those comparing this to the Skystriker that basically got over half the backers needed in the final day, I think that is exactly what happened with that one. I don't think there was over 5k people waiting until the last day on that one either. IDK why they wait until the very end but it does seem to be something they often do. If it doesnt fund then I guess I am wrong, if it funds with over 3k backers in the final day, while there is no way to say for certain, I will feel I am right because again I really don't think there are over 3k people just waiting to back it on the final day. The surge we are starting to see now where we've gone from 20, 75 to now over 100 backers a day, those are from the people who waited until the end and while that is a increase, its not enough to get it to the finish line.

A lot of people online are saying the same thing. I still see a lot of people on the fence right now but I think they're starting to pull the trigger. Personally I blame the weak tiers. I think a lot of people were hanging on thinking maybe there might be a little more waiting but I would be really really surprised. I would love for them to surprise us with a 6" Giant Man but I won't hold my breath. I can see a ton of people finally taking the plunge when they have do decide if they actually do or do not want this thing. I say it over and over but the price is right. The tiers are insignificant. But having both of the previous Haslabs I know this is going to be good and well worth it. Everyone loves the TB Giant Man but it is time for an update and this time it's an actual giant man. This is essential to a complete Avengers team. And as many have pointed out it could lead to an actual GM wave. As some of these waves are becoming online only I don't really see a need for there to have to be a marquee character such as Cap or IM anymore. I really question why they put that abysmal IM in the Sons wave. Nobody wanted it. There was no need for him to be there for shelf appeal. They could have just put someone better. Maybe contractual obligations I guess. But that's off subject. I'm sure there's at least a few thousand in international sales and I think if we can make it to at least 7K we'd be in the clear. Of course it doesn't look good for the tiers but honestly I see little to zero excitement for either of them and I could personally care less.

There are def people who wait towards the end and I do believe that is the increase in backers your starting to see now, I just dont believe there are over 3k.

As for being on the fence, this has nothing to tip people over which as i've said at this late game probably works more in the campaigns advantage. If the only reason I decided to back this was for the extra stretch goal then I would be getting pretty nervous now and might decide to go on and cancel because I wouldn't want to risk getting stuck with Giant Man without the stretch goal figure. I think because this years stretch goals are something people could easily live without, they have no reason to cancel and will just ride it out until the end. So while the lackluster stretch goals dont do much to entice someone who just doesnt feel like Giant Man alone is worth it which again is why I dont think there are over 3k people waiting until the end,   at the same time you wont see the mass exodus of backers like we saw last year.

Hasbro def is not going to add any figures to this Haslab because it wouldnt be cost effective for them. This year Hasbro choose to go light on the extras to try and keep the cost down. Hasbro has also indicated  in interviews that figures that likely would have been the stretch goals like Yellowjacket, Classic Wasp and maybe even a 6" Giant Man for this campaign if Hasbro wasnt trying to keep the cost down will be offered at a later time. I think this is a good thing. I know it ruins the illusion some people have that stretch goal figures are free, but a $200 Giant Man with three additional figures was never going to be an option. If the figures had been included in the campaign then Giant Man would be priced closer to what we saw with Galactus and Sentinel. So either way people will have to pay for those additional figures but at least now people have a choice. If you just want Giant Man and dont care that much about the other figures then you can just get Giant Man, and vice versa if you want those extra figures but not interested in Giant Man then you can get them without having to pay for the big guy.

Giant Man is a nice figure, I think Hasbro did a a good job on it and based on today's Market prices for a very limited item (10k units is a pretty small order in the world of manufacturing), the $200 price is more than fair. The problem with Giant Man and if he doesn't fund comes down IMO to the appeal of the character. Hank Pym I don't think is a super popular Avenger and he is a guy who has had multiple identities and costumes over the years, most of which we have already gotten figures for. Ant Man which is his most iconic persona and is the costume he wore with the original Avengers. If you really want to display the original Avengers and want a classic Wasp, Ant-Man is the figure your going to use in your display not Giant Man.  The small number of people who might be a fan of Giant Man also likely already have some version of him in 12" form. The Toy Biz one is the one usually mentioned but Hasbro also fairly recently did both a 6" and 12" modern costume version which is actually the costume I prefer and have displayed on my shelf. My Toy Biz Giant Man which I got when it first came out lives in a bin these days.

There used to be a time when most Marvel Legends collectors would buy almost everything Hasbro put out, but as prices increase and there more and more things for collectors to choose from with Marvel Legends and other 6" action figures lines, not to mention  all the other big crowdsourcing items we see today, Collectors have become more and more choosy on what they buy. When you factor all that in it really isn't that hard to see why this is struggling even though the figure itself is decent and the price isn't really outrageous.

So a brand new classic Wasp and news that the Beyond Earth's Mightiest Anniversary line is continuing into 2024?!?!  Honestly the best possible news!

The sets we got this year as part of the Beyond line were mind blowing, if we get as much Avengers product and character selection next year as we did this, it will be another stellar year

Now Giant Man just needs to fund!

If they're continuing the Beyond Earth's Mightiest stuff in 2024, then I expect that 1st appearance Iron Man is getting a gold repaint so that we'll have the original Lee/Kirby Avengers lineup.

And perhaps a true FA Hulk with his smaller frame and purple speedos..seems like slam dunks here

This new Wasp is a thing of beauty, can't wait to see what '24 brings for Avengers fans

In an effort to try and entice more folks to back Giant Man, here is a look at the Classic Wasp they will be releasing at a later time that you will have to pay additional money for. THIS IS NOT being included with Giant Man.

Ah, maybe they're getting it. Regardless I hope to see this soon; the face here is a bit off, expression wise, but otherwise the figure looks fantastic. She didn't have hind wings back then though, and also they were often colored pink. I love that  cone-shaped cowl; it has a whole retro-50s sci fi feel to it.

She's gonna look GREAT next to the classic Ant-Man!!

Never liked that look of Jan's so it will be an easy pass whenever it comes out

Me either but dang look at that face sculpt. I know it's just a render but if it turns out half that good. I know it's not going to be free but this actually persuades me more than those bogus tiers. Had this been a tier instead of that Zombie portrait I bet we'd be a lot closer by now.

Hey, Hasbros! Classic Wasp NEVER had four wings. Only two. As a matter of fact, I think she's only has four in plastic, not in comics.

Why not release her accurately -- and include stinger blast effects instead of the lower wings?

Loving this sculpt otherwise! Would also love to see her in her classic Bronze Age red & gold outfit with the cowl/collar wrap.

Possible. But there's always been a contingent of folks who are mad that some figure is "locked behind a paywall" and say they won't back a project because of that. Regardless of whether Giant Man crosses that 10,000 mark or not, we'll never know what could have happened.

You do realise you can just remove tje bottom set? The wings are designed as such so it not as big of a deal as you are making it out to be.

This New Classic Wasp is looking mighty good, nice to see that, and Glad it isn't part of this HasLab, but I would imagine if it had been part of this HasLab the numbers would be much higher currently, anyways looking forward to that figure.

While I'm on record as not seeing the need for a haslab, period, I do believe that had they included either this or a 6" Giant-Man, they would've hit this goal already (I'm VERY glad they did NOT include her though. 6" Giant-Man, yes, because he goes with his giant form).

So for those of you not into this retro look, do you have a fave Wasp outfit that hasn't been made yet? I think the best one was the black/gold designed by Pacheco, but I always thought the lavender 70s was great too. And then the white/blue one bare leg one bare arm outfit. Both designed by Perez....

True we can never know what might have been. But I really think the straw that broke the camel's back was how abrasive they came across with the EoV. The characters they put behind those paywalls would have got huge sales as single figures. Mephisto and Maddy for sure. Not sure how much of an argument can be made for Helstrom but I want him as a figure. And then they went hardline and basically said back this campaign or kiss ever getting these guys byebye. Seriously Mephisto? Locked away forever? I doubt that is actually true but who knows when me might see that thing. If ever. With this project I really think if they'd have included first Normal Size Giant Man, then this Wasp and then Yellowjacket if they even needed a 3rd tier and then just not had said anything at all about it being available or not available at a later time if this did not fund or maybe or even just giving us the old "we really don't know at this time" we would have reacted better. How 2 figures versus 2 alternate portraits would have effected the price we don't know but I know as fans we are pretty good at weighing price versus product. And I'm pretty sure the majority of us knew we were getting fleeced with that one and they really, really went to hard trying to defend it. I'd go so far to say that a lot of us were offended and felt like we were being talked down to at times. I know I did. Like I said in another post. Actually disgusted by the end. But that's just me. Sometimes my emotions get the best of me. LOL.
