LOL and thanks my friend. Frankly I wouldn't mind giving them some pointers. But really, I've seen any number of suggestions, on this forum alone, from fans that would really help them up their game. Bottom line for hasbo & their stockholders, these would reap tons of revenue. Its win-win.

You usually have two big spurts, one in the first week and then again during the final week - with a lot of slow trickle in between. There's not a thing that anyone could say that would make me make it back any sooner than those last few days. There's just no reason to. It's not like they're going to cap it, and say "sorry, that's it! - no more orders will be taken!". I ordered Galactus and 3 Sentinels all on the very final day of those campaigns. I wasn't going to back the EoV no matter what (despite wanting the 4 actual figures). I've always thought that they should just make these shorter campaigns.

can I just ask, just out of pure curiousity cause like you I know it will be back, why wait until near the end? You don't get charged until then so you don't have to worry about your money being taken. So wouldn't it make more sense to back it now rather then wait?

Three to go to surpass the final count for the EoV. I am nervously checking every half hour or so. Who am I kidding, its like every 10 minutes. This thing has to fund soon for my wife's sake, lol.

And I respectfully question waiting till the last minute as well. Momentum is a thing. The closer we get to funded, the better it is for building confidence of those on the fence. And if we were to get and surpass the tiers early, they really might add something like they did with the Sentinel. But yeah, better another backer than not, so please don't read this as an attack. I'm just a worrier.

Ok so I think that like me, you view a crowdfunding campaign as an opportunity to get together and finance a toy that would be unfeasible otherwise. Everyone works together and gets a cool thing!

 

But this other guy, he seems to view a crowdfunding as a preorder campaign that either fails or doesn't and either way it wasn't something he ordered so who cares. Instead of working together to get the toy made, he doesn't understand why it wouldn't be a shorter period because, no matter what, he was going to order at the last convenient second. 

Ironically enough this kind of behavior is what actually makes these last longer because business is dumb and whenever it see a graph swing up the immediate reaction is "yes.more."

Startin to get some EoV vibes watching it creep up slowly then drop 3 or 4 at once, only to take half the day to recoup them. I will say that even the negative comments online don't seem to be a gleefilled or hateful. More of just, not liking the character or not having room. Both totally understandable. But I am still getting worried. Galactus did a similar thing until the end too, but last year scarred me.

A lot of people have bought into this "projects that couldn't be made otherwise" notion and it just doesn't pan out. EOV exposed this even more. For years collectors had been screaming for Mephisto, and were told it "could never be made" (funny thing, Hasbro never said that) and yet there it was. I guess it COULD be made after all lol. They clearly don't need a campaign for this and Giant-Man is hardly unfeasible.

What retailer was gonna actually order a 24" Giant-Man for $200 (MAYBE like, $170, taking economies of scale with a larger production run into account), and let it take up a significant portion of shelf real estate, when those 12-inch Marvel Legends all mostly shelfwarmed a few years back? 

THAT is where the unfeasibility is.

Exactly right! I remember Toybiz sharing that WAY back when before they actually started making BAFs (when collectors were asking for Sentinels and Galactus) - it was about shelf space required for big figures. I do still agree with Atlantis though that there probably are things Hasbro tells us are not possible, that probably are.

Collectors didn't want 12" figures. Its that simple. The standard for the last few decades has been 6" and 7". The company didn't read the room. As for retailers...

Amazon, Big Bad Toy Store, Entertainment Earth, this little thing called Hasbro Pulse to name a few....its not about shelf space.

Looks awesome!!!! I went and got the Skrull 2 pack for 24 bucks at Target and got the last Zombie figure I didn't have, Iron Man, for 15 bucks off Amazon. Wishful thinking to be sure. I've been messin with my Toy Biz GM, and he just doesn't hold up. The hands annoy me with that TB wrist movement. The fingers move, but not the thumb. The old tb hips and shoulders always look a little janky. He's cool enough just standing there, but when I really try to pose him, he's pretty limited. So, needless to say I am really hoping for this to fund.

I love the look of this thing so far and I love the price and I love the way they did this. All out front. No exclusive access for Early Birds. No locking much wanted characters behind wall. No begging. From all indications they listened to fans on how they approached this and what character they were calling for. I for the life of me can't see what the hold up is. Personally I do believe there will be a massive wave as the deadline nears for the fact that everyone knows exactly what's at stake and at what price. I kind of think everyone is waiting for some kind of final needle tipper that just isn't going to happen and if they want this they're going to have to pull the trigger. It's a situation Hasbro created by its own error but I do think it is the proper way for future Haslabs. For ML anyway. G.I. Joe is a different animal altogether and to list all the distinctions between the two would take more room than this form allows to list.

There still will be taking up shelf space in their warehouses. Nowhere has infinite storage space. 

Still if shops can sell a 24 inch Transformer for roughly 200 quid, it is hard to see why Marvel legends couldn't do something similar.

Guys we go through this every year. We always talk about whether we need Haslab or not. We have said what we need to say about it so let just focus on the Giant man figure rather than the concept of the Haslab.
