How many characters?

Marvel has claimed that they have something like 5000+ characters in their Marvel Universe roster--that is essentially trademarked characters.

But how many have made it to toy form--specifically Marvel Legends form, to date?
The reveal of the upcoming new retro first appearance Spider-man and Moon Knight got me thinking about this,  as we already have these figures, but just as repaints this time around.  There are many other characters/figures they could introduce, but true to Hasbro-form, they often visit, re-visit ad nauseum characters we have seen MANY times before.

So, I wonder out loud, how many have we seen to date, and how many are truly left??  Is there a list??  Is anyone keeping track??

Hi,

I think you should try to there is no official comprehensive list from Hasbro detailing the exact number of unique characters released in the Marvel Legends line. However various fan sites and forums keep track of these figures. According to some of these sources, there have been around 400-500 unique characters released in the Marvel Legends line since its inception. Despite this Hasbro often revisits popular characters with new sculpts, accessories, or paint jobs, which can lead to multiple versions of the same character being released. For a precise count and updates, checking dedicated collector websites or forums like TheFwoosh or Marvelous News can be helpful as they frequently update their databases with new releases.

Thanks
