Very much up for the Angel. I'll want the Lilandra as well, so I guess I'm buying that pack. Not sure when the Red Widow is being released but I'll get her too. The others are a pretty easy pass for me. Don't need that many Wolverines. I'll get Hydra Cap if I can find him cheap.

I would imagine they're hinting at a Rachel Summers figure. Maybe a two-pack with Betsy Braddock Captain Britain.

I can't see them not doing the original darkblue outfit....at least for that one, the boots won't need to be painted on.

that's the only thing keeping me on the fence, otherwise I'd be all over it

Now that we have those wings, hopefully Hasbro will take another shot at the original 5 Boxed set...

I have been asking for that for years, and I feel pretty confident they will do it soon.

An embarrassment. I personally could never let that out of my factory. Now they have the true chance to redeem themselves.

The MCU stuff is doubly frustrating. The boxes are hideous and they are releasing THAT Iron Man and Iron Spider-Man AGAIN?!?

Right? How the hell many times are they gonna re-release basic MCU figures like Iron Man and Spidey? They weren't that exciting the first time around, but THIS is just beyond redundant. Whatever, I stay away from MCU figures, anyway. They're just boring, watered down designs with ugly facial sculpts. It's like they're intentionally designed to be ugly. I'll take comic figures any day over MCU.

I was pleasantly surprised with yesterday's reveals. That Angel figure is a must as well as that updated Sabretooth. There are a few that I'm still on the fence about like the '97 Cyclops, the '97 Goblin Queen, and there is something about that Sam Wilson Captain America that looks very cool! All-in-all, a great way to bring 2023 to a close! This was a great year for Marvel Legends and collectors in general, I'm excited to see what the new year brings!

I've had to be discriminating in my purchases over the last few years. I like that they are re-releasing some of these figures.

I know low-effort repaints and reissues aren't always well received, but I think it is somewhat shrewd and I hope it helps them stay afloat as they navigate the new economy.

I think the best help they can receive are some cartoons that are broadly appealing to kids and loyal adult collectors. I'm sure most of us here are collectors in large part because of the cartoon. If they can focus on the general good v. evil and family elements of the 90's cartoon, they will succeed, and maybe pull X-Men Legends along on their coattails.

If the cartoon can include some vintage character designs it might be a helpful way to incentivize Hasbro to make something that hasn't been seen in the comics for a few decades.

I'm not too worried about those MCU re releases either. It's not like they have baf pieces with them or something. That is an ossue that bothers me. These, I simply won't buy. My only slight issue is if they make the MCU Spideys I have in package worth less money.

like I said, the main reason they are re-releasing Iron Man and Spidey is because all they have for the MCU next years is the Deadpool 3 movie (and a couple of D+ series but that's a whole other thing). They need to put something movie related on the shelf to sedate those collectors. Since all the movies are being held back, all their plans have been thrown out the window.

You may be asking why not make new character or costume we don't have from past movies? Simply, they didn't plan for it. As most people know it take up to and including a year to make a figure and they didn't have anything prepared. Now that those movies are being held back they had no choice but to rush to re-release old mold to fill the gap.

Also because of this i expect some rushed filler comic wave next year.

A rushed comic filler wave would still be interesting.

Very glad I was wrong about the price of the Sabes/Wolvie set. I am actually kinda surprised that one didn't sell out yet with the constant call for this Sabretooth to be redone. I hear it on pretty much every channel. Personally got both of them. Pretty happy.

Instead of trying to pacify MCU collectors with the same already released figures, they should just let that go. The hasbo team knew (and certainly so did the fans) that the movie properties were going to get pushed back, so there should have been a contingency already in place. Just an idea, how about improving and re-issuing some figures that got butchered, or what about filling up some of these teams? For example when they did the Excalibur box set, they said Rachel Phoenix wasn't included "because they didn't have time". That was 2, 3 years ago. They could make her, Marinna, the rest of the Guardians and Starjammers for that matter, and have them ready to go for issues like this.  There's a comic filler wave for ya.

There can be no back up plan for something that was decided 2 months ago. Disney thought the strike wouldn't last as long as it did. They were still planning to release the movies in their initial date but that fell through. Hasbro were told when the movies would be released and planned for that. They didn't know something like that would happen. They had no plan for something that Disney told them wasn't going to happen. This really is on Disney for being stingy with the writers and actors.

Sloppy paint, terrible faces, dollar store wings, no articulation on most of Beast, and the worst Iceman in the game.

LOL  not even wings. "Wing". One solid piece of plastic that fit in the back, poorly. And they've regularly messed up Ice Man but yes this was the worst ever done. Its all a rush job, looks like they got a bunch of kids to make them. But....fans bought it anyway. And that, friends, is all hasbo cares about. if you want better your wallet needs to say so.

As you said earlier though with these upcoming wings, they can re-do the set. Could really be great if they put their minds to it.

Am I the only one that wants the red and yellow "suspenders" look for Angel that he wore in the later days of the first team when Havok and Polaris joined?

Oooo, oooo, ooo they can make the greatest Mimic figure ever too!!!! X Men look and then the Exiles look.  At one point I had every issue of Uncanny with him in it. I thought he was so awesome.

A hideous mess to be sure, but not as bad as the shockingly horrid thing he wore briefly later....
