When I first saw the Model 20 Iron Man, I thought it was the Heroes Reborn Iron Man. Upon closer inspection, I realized that this was not the case. Does anyone still think we'll get a Heroes Reborn this year?

I hope so

Really? I thought She-Hulk was the only must-have in this wave. Of course Blacklash and Nefaria were strong contenders and I did decide against the two older Iron Men. But this is hands down the best version of She-Hulk they've ever made. And considering the last classic She-Hulk they did in the A-Force wave was a T-Rex arms weirdo I thought everyone wanted this. Of course as I always say everyone has their taste. And as usual I'm almost certain Hasbro did something to screw up what should be the perfect She-Hulk figure. I'm guessing with the really awkward scale of size and height of the Animated X-Men wave that height might be the issue here. But as you say a new lady character is never really a bad thing. Unless a better one has been made as in the case of Animated Jean and Storm. But I think this She-Hulk has set the bar. Though I will hold my breath until I either get it in hand or until a trusted reviewer gives us the full skinny.

PS about Mandarin. I know in general everyone is kind of upset because Mandarin once again got passed over. But what makes it even worse is I was just reading up on the Tin Man armor and found out that it was specifically designed with defenses against Mandarin's rings. What better time to do a Mandarin figure if not now? I'm hoping maybe there might be a companion deluxe figure to this wave that has a bunch of power effects. I would shell for that.

Personally, I don't have a problem with multiple Iron Man armor suits in an Iron Man set or wave....he's actually one of the few heroes that can get away with this.  However I would've swapped out:

-The "mark 09" for the Prometheum armor.

-Saved Count Nefaria for an Avengers wave, and used classic Crimson Dynamo instead

-Saved She-Hulk for a Hulk wave and used either Madame Masque or that purple armored Sasha Hammer

-Added a classic Mandarin. No business suit, no weird green dude from the animated show.

And No, none of these look like bad figures; they all look fantastic for a change and I would also add that, as I've said before, mixing in different characters isn't ever going to keep fans from buying them. Have a Watcher BAF in a Luke Cage wave or a Lockjaw BAF in a Daredevil wave? People might scratch their heads....but they certainly will still  buy 'em.

Having multiple  Iron man makes sense but 3 in a wave of 6, seems a bit of overkill. I would have also saved Neferia and She Hulk for other waves, but I still pre-ordered them.

There's even some similarity in how She Hulk is posed here vs old ToyBiz Hulk line. Hopefully we get another She Hulk in possible Hulk retro line with more serious and angry looking head sculpts, this new body had a lot of reuse mileage.

My hat is off to the team for sticking to the comics and making the Golden Avenger in his accurate armor, with the apron/kilt. Instead of just doing a straight re-paint of the original gray "iron" look, they did it RIGHT. If I had any issue, it would be that a brighter, shinier shade of gold had been used, similar to the gold paint used on the Animal Warriors of The Kingdom Chunari Centurion. The Stark head is more late '70s-80s era instead of the '60s but they got the most important detail correct on this one! I know a lot of collectors were hoping for this!!

At this point I'm just glad they didn't try to push that ball joint waist on this one. Messing up a great looking figure like this for some strange articulation choices is usually right up Hasbro's alley.

JUST She Hulk? What about the rest of the wave? I ordered through Amazon and have had no such update on the shipping date.

I noticed this at least two weeks ago and put in an order. She was the only one in the wave coming out on that day the rest on the 31st along with the kazar wave. Stranger things have happened and I did get an email from Amazon saying the Zemo/zola two pack would be arriving on May 5.

Hmm, interesting. My order still shows her arriving in June, but I also got the update about the Zemo/Zola 2 Pack arriving early.

More like the 9/10 Model isn't it? The armor didn't have those moon boots until they upgraded to 10 if I'm not mistaken. And I just might be. Whatever the case this is giving me some serious nostalgia vibes. I like it more than I thought I would.

I had this argument with Rektangular that had him block me on Facebook but no. This is Mark 9, or if you really wanted to mark. 9.5. This bigger boots are just Romita's style for the suit. Mark 10 is the Galactic Storm armor

Yeah it was kind of weird. I looked up the issues to refresh my memory. There was never really an armor change it just suddenly had these giant feet and cankles but the arc reactor and pretty much everything else remained the same. That's crazy that he blocked you. Though he does come off kind of salty sometimes. Actually I was just watching a video where he kind of went off on a tangent where he was angry that other people were taking credit for the leaks that he first reported on and he had some information that he was going to be sitting on for later so it doesn't happen again. I don't remember anyone taking credit for the most recent leaks though. Most people just said these are the leaks. Though I don't remember anyone crediting him if he was actually the first to have them.

The latest video? Oh my god his ego is massive. I posted the leaks on reddit and not one person defended him. 'Praise me. I leaked this months ago.' He stole info from a gamestop computer. He is essentially this close to being arrested.

The comics do something with the armor classification that can be used to handwave minor tweaks in a given armor.

The movies made it the standard to call suits "Iron Man Armor Mark X," but in the comics the nomenclature was originally "Iron Man Armor Model X Mark Y." For example, the original War Machine Armor is "Iron Man Armor Model 10 MK I" and the version with the unibeam and different weapons that Tony made for Rhodey is "Iron Man Armor Model 10 MK II."

So the version of the Model 9 with slimmer boots could be Model 9 MK I, and the version with the bigger boots could be Model 9 MK II.

Whiplash/Backlash is by far my favorite from this wave I'm looking forward to. He's one of those villains I can't believe they are just now making. Super iconic if you grew up in the 90's watching the iron man cartoon or reading 90's comics he was all over them, working for Justin Hammer. Now here are two villains we need I can't believe have never been made in the legends line...Wizard and Trapster!

Yeah me too, Blacklash is for sure my favorite figure in this wave, much needed villain for IM, it truly is shocking that this is going to be the first time he's gotten a Legends figure, IM villains are so underdone and he's next to Spider-Man probably the biggest seller, but it just seems like villains in general don't get enough love at Hasbro, we need a 2nd Villains wave already.

Shown below via Dan Yun is an in-package look at the new Marvel Legends Series Classic Iron Man Collection Whiplash Figure from Hasbro. Available for purchase at places like BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth as well as Amazon with suggested retail price of $24.99 each.

Whiplash.99.jpg

Its not a perfect example, but this is what Iron Man's Stealth Armor boots should have looked like. Whiplash's boots have that curved, kind of scooped design...at any rate, the stealth armor, when it first appeared, was not a straight re-color of the classic red and gold. Regardless,  Whiplash looks pretty good here, and is that a separate pony tail I see there! Something that will rotate and not break off. Great!

Loving how Blacklash turned out. Love the arrogant smirk they gave him too. I think still to this day one my fav stories with him was actually in PPTS Spider Man #101. He was just such a smug blowhard totally drunk on his own Kool-Aid, and all Spidey needed to do was hit him once in the face, lol. Great fun villain.
