".... None of us know what the story will be yet, none of us know if Downey's Doom will work or not, but looking for something to be wrong is just exhausting... how 'bout we just get excited about the fact that we have a new Fantastic Four film in the MCU! "

I'd say people ARE excited, but maybe cautiously so, given the track record so far. It isn't that they're "looking for something to be wrong", we're looking for it to be done correctly, to be a great film. We don't want "a" Fantastic Four film in the MCU, we want a GREAT Fantastic Four. From the looks of this one trailer, I'd say they look like they're headed in the right direction, fingers crossed.

As said above I'm cautiously excited, I do mostly like what I see, I do love retro futuristic aesthetics, it seems like right way to go for F4, when he had 3.5 iterations of them on screen. I really hope they don't make Galactus into some sort of Joke and he will be serious threat.

I loved this, everything was super great to me here, except for Ben's voice being totally wrong IMO, but loved the retro vibe, loved the casting...I mean Pedro could lose the facial hair but Whatever, and Oh my Galactus!

I'm very excited for this film.

I don't know. I've seen this trailer couple dozen times now just looking for small clues like all those Youtube sleuths. Ben's voice is starting to grow on me. I know we've all gotten used to that gruff Michael Chikles style but if you go back and look at that version it does seem kind of forced like Bale's Batman. This one seems more natural. Kind of deep but without feeling guttural and breathy. And yes I've been a long time proponent for Pedro to shave off that sad little patchy facial hair. Not taking cheap shots. It's just some people can grow it and some people can't. He's one that just can't. Neither could my grandfather. He chaulked it up to his Native American bloodline. Who knows if that's true but he stood by it. Of course that look is kind of Pedro's signature look now so I think he's stuck with it. And if you look at him all shaved up in movies like Wonder Woman '84 he honestly loses something when it's gone. LOL He actually looked more like Marvel's Arcade rather than Maxwell Lord.

I think this looks like it’ll be cool. Been reading a lot of comments elsewhere on the internet about the Thing’s movements not being natural and stuff. I can kind of see it, but I am also going to assume that this isn’t the final version either since it is meant to be a teaser trailer. In terms of design though, I think the Thing looks great! Much closer to how I have always pictured him. Hopefully there will be a point in the movie where we get to see his rocky torso as apposed to it being fully covered by the suit. But I kind of dig the suit design as well. The whole aesthetic of this movie is a neat change of pace from what we have been getting from the MCU, and hopefully that turns out to be a good thing.

The lip-synch on the Thing chews exactly the same way as it did on the Mark Ruffalo Smart Hulk, and being a fully-CG-character, it's what I would expect.
I don't mind it, as it gets the point across.

I could be wrong but according to the set pics Thing isn't fully CGI but rather partially CGI, or at least he isn't going to be in all scenes, which could explain unnatural movements.  Although it's worth remembering that they fully CGI-ed over the actual Spider-Man costume, so who knows maybe they abandoned idea of physical model and it was just a test.

Finally!! A media outside of comics that will debut Franklin. You think I'm joking? look up every cartoon and the 3/4 other movies and you will see that Franklin has never made an appearance in the near 50 years since his birth outside of comics.

Everything looks cool and all and I can ignore a lot of things except for 2. One we can't talk about but seriously, that mustache is just awful. Either clean face or beard. Anything but those options is a no no. It's not like Pedro never shaved his mustache before, so he could and chose not to.  That's cannot possibly babe a "creative decision". Seriously, looks weird.

Am I the only one?

I suspect the legends reveals aren't far behind now.

Looks great so far.....that moustache on Mr. Fantastic needs to go, and I'm very curious as to why his uniform doesn't have the white collar and shoulder pattern the others do.....the other issue is the Silver Surfer. Just no reason they couldn't have done him properly.

I like seeing the Thing in an actual uniform; maybe later in the film he'll be back in his classic briefs only look.

Oh, and I hope they'll use the '67 cartoon theme....so dang cool!!

Pedro looks like Stan Lee in the 70's  That may be intentional, but the stache still throws me. I don't see Reed at all, I see Pedro.

Looking at how these movies are structured, Shalla-Bal/Surfer is NOT default.  She's a place-holder, essentially a prop/plot device.
Since the FF are not in the main Marvel universe ( yet), they'll move from theirs to the main one.

My speculation: what's the impetus there?
Tragedy.
They lose their world, and the Surfer might turn on Galactus in their favour and die in that offing.
It's story set-up for when they get to the 616 Universe proper. It gives them motivation to continue to be heroes ( guilt after losing their Earth), it sets them up to encounter Norrin Radd here in a different light, and it waaaay ups the threat of Galactus too.
Hey, Thanos won first too, before he lost for good.  Seeing Galactus eat the Earth would seriously up the stakes going forward.  They will do the Surfer right the next time we see him.

I was thinking along these lines: seeing them set up the Avengers' Doomsday plot and considering the trailer shows some serious damage to what seems to be Earth's surface, I gotta assume they lose here.

I am glad Dr. Doom is not the main villain. We have already seen him in every Fantastic Four movie. Let him rest, sit back, and let the light shine on other FF's Rogues Gallery members. Galactus is an excellent choice. However, maybe I would have saved him for the sequel and instead use one of their lesser-known villains such as Mole-man, first. But, I am not complaining because we finally have a correct comic-accurate Galactus. The 2007 version of Galactus was comic accurate. But, it was the wrong comic-accurate.

Not a fan of Shalla-Bal being the Silver Surfer, though. Again, we have 2 female heralds of Galactus. Couldn't they have used Frankie Raye or Stardust, a character whose appearance confuses even the writers that they have used both male and female pronouns. So, Stardust could have been written as genderfluid here.

I hadn't considered that but reading this I really hope that you are right. It's a good reason to get the FF to the main MCU universe and a way to keep norrin radd and Galactus in their pocket for future use

I do like the trailer and general atmosphere and tone this movie is building. Silver Surfer almost looks like unfinished CGI model, maybe it will look better in the movie. Speaking of CGI, to me it seems like Human Torch flame effects are almost identical to 2005-2007 movies.

This looks FANTASTIC :V

Puns aside, I really like how everything looks. I feel like the stache is "era" appropriate, I don't really mind it. Wasn't sure of Quinn as Johnny but he's pulling it off marvelously.

I really like how the Silver Surfer looks and talks... I'm curious to see how they tell the story and how it gets to where I think it might or if it goes somewhere else. It's exciting, it's a great year to be an MCU fan!

I for one am very excited for this film. I've always loved the Fantastic Four and am I excited to see them join the MCU. I don't mind the female Silver Surfer so much. It wouldn't haven't been my first choice, but based on what I'm seeing here, this could work.

I don't mind a female surfer mainly because this is an alternative universe. After the Avengers movies resets the main line universe I would like Surfer to then be Norrin Radd

This movie just keeps looking lovely, I am enjoying the vibe being very different from anything in the MCU thus far, Shala Bal Surfer is cool for me as well, like it's an alt universe, and there have been tons of Heralds, they can still get Norrin in the MCU at another point, I can't wait to finally see Galactus, I mean so far it looks like they did him pretty accurate, Also is it just me or did they make Ben's voice gruffer in this trailer? I felt like he sounded softer in the first trailer, and I wasn't sure about the voice, but now I'm thinking it's pretty good.

I won't argue with you there. Any one in particular you'd like to see take on that role?

No one in particular in mind. Just as long as the character is written well.
