Only knock is the soft goods. I guess the way they did the Moira Mactaggert lab coat was toooo perfect for Marvel Legends so they decided to "doll" up the line. Poor choice but I'm still ordering.

I'm with you, never cared much for soft goods, they're often ill-fitting and only occasionally "work" in my book, otherwise I feel like I'm just playing "dress-up" with my figures.  I'll definitely be displaying mine without the lab coat.  Beyond that though, I really dig this set.

Technically you're right....Hank wouldn't have shrunk this, as in this particular era (early 60s) the Avengers didn't even have a Quinjet. That came later, after the Black Panther joined, and he designed their first Quinjet (1969).  The Vision and the Black Panther destroyed it on its first mission (rammed it into a Frost Giant).  This model came out in '79, and was designed by John Byrne. It was ALSO destroyed on its first mission (Wonder Man), but not to worry, they got a new one in the next issue. It pretty much became iconic because before this, the Avengers' artists didn't stick to just one design for the Quinjet.

Byrne's Quinjets have always been my favorites.  There was something always so sleek and practical while undeniably super hero-ish.

Plus, cmon...look at Byrnes's art... so much detail INSIDE the cockpit..he was always on another level

Now listen up Hasbro... the only O.G. Avenger left  is Hulk in his tiny purple shorts and smaller body  stature. No matter how many times you change the head sculpt, if it isn't Avengers 1 Hulk, the team is incomplete!

Yeah, the soft goods lab coat looks cheap. I wish they di go the Moira route

Two great points. The whole soft goods gimmick has been just that. A big gimmick. And they've never gotten it right. It always just looks weird on anything at 1/12 scale. There is just no cloth of any decent durability that falls right on a figure that small. It just needs to go away. Just eliminate the trouble whole headache on both collectors and manufacturers. It's just not ever going to work.

And yes the Hulk ever since getting the new body mold has been nothing but a rinse and repeat head swap in different colors of plastic. Grey Hulk and Classic Green Hulk definitely need a smaller body model. It seems like by now they would have at least modified the Caliban model to do the smaller Hulks. It wouldn't take much. But I haven't purchased any grey Hulk besides Fixit for that simple fact. It's just not right.

The only knock I have for this set is the use of that tired old terrible Sunfire model. Now it's not so back because Hank has never been portrayed as a bigger type guy. Aside from the fact that he's an actual giant man at times. Also it stays consistent with the body they used for the best Ant-Man figure but that body model just has to be retired. It does have it's uses but Hasbro's tendency to use it as the IN BETWEEN body types has ruined more figures than it helps.

Actually, I disagree, it CAN be done right.  Mezco One:12 does fabric, in a different way ,that works at this scale.  Mezco Star Trek figures and others have nicely draped clothing therein, BUT YES, HASBRO AND MARVEL LEGENDS DO NOT.   Well, the trench coat that ToyBiz ML Gambit came with still holds up...but overall, for the brand itself........near-total fizzle

It would be super serviceable body if it had Falcon's or Shang Chi's shoulders, it's funny that even after "pinless-fication" of that mold they kept these old tiny shoulders instead of updating them, some might think shoulders are secondary and not at all important but it gives figure whole different silhouette.

Oh man, Wasp's face-sculpt and piant job are a work of art!! Really impressed with how her figure turned out!

Some of their best work for sure. For years I've held onto my Toybiz versions of the original team, now there just is no reason.

My original lineup is going to look absolutely amazing. Hasbro has made this anniversary line the greatest thing to happen for Avengers collectors..

Got mine as well. Once the Haslab and this 2 pack arrive it is time to redo my shelves.

Plus, isn't there another Ant-Man reveal announced or rumored? Perhaps Yellowjacket????

There SHOULD be a wave or some sets around the time of the Haslab release. Just like the f4 and Herald for Galactus and the HOX wave for the Sentinel.

You should rename the article title. It is not a pre-order. It is charging you NOW. Probably ships in a couple days.

Dang, wish I had caught that, would have used a different card.  Oh well.  Not that big of a deal.

Anybody else have difficulty with the checkout process?  Two different desktop browsers and it wouldn't load the section where you fill out credit card details.  Had to use my phone to complete the process.

And if they had just done some kind of adjustment to the legs where they could interchange between these shorter legs and some longer legs so they would be accurate when they could properly used it for characters anywhere from the 5 like the 6 foot 4 Falcon or Silver Surfer who are both about Captain America height but with maybe a leaner build. It seems like that would be something so easy.

The shoulders thing is a real issue. That model has this crazy shredded build and bulging biceps and these tiny shoulders. In my business that's sign of some significant area of neglect on an otherwise perfectly fit form. I'm sure the official excuse has something to do with poseability and function but look at the old DCU Classics figures like Batman and Wildcat and those were both figures made for super athletic characters where the shoulders matched the rest of the musculature. Sure the figures overall suffered from some limitations and lack of articulation. But the shoulders functioned just fine. Even for those super nimble characters.
