Exactly. It's been nearly 20 years since Hasbro took over and people can't seem to realise that they are the masters of giving us obscure character. Their character selections are the best part of the line.

Seriously? Too obscure? They just did CRYSTAR....I'd say nothing's off limits.

They did mention that Crystar was an experiment, but definetly no for this anniversary line ... Red Wolf at some point for sure, he even was an Avenger at some point, in a few years  maybe 😛

Exactly, don't forget we also had well known characters like Rock Python and Death's Head 2

If they ever do give us a comic mantis, I really would like her in a two pack with swordsman. I may be one of the only ones, but those two c-listers figure prominently in the early days of the team.

It would make the most sense, though I would prefer Swordsman separately since I don't like mantis

I'd be down for those for sure!! Would they make a classic Mantis though, I wonder? That outfit's pretty far out there, lol. If they do though, they could justify the tooling dollars by making her normal skin tone, and then the green tone from when she appeared in the 80s Silver Surfer series.

Well I would bear in mind that Marvel designed her outfit, and published it, and the comics sold all over 7-11s, pharmacies, and virtually anyplace that had a book rack. There's no sane reason not to make her costume just as accurate as they would for Psycho-Man (complicated, unique, not re-use friendly) or Ka-zar (simple "fur" boots and loin cloth). The green and yellow "frond" skirt could be made of the same very soft plastic strips they used for Mr. Sinister (above all she HAS to have full mobility). I think a nice glossy/metallic paint for the vambraces , belt and shin guards would really make it pop. They do GREAT faces so they could definitely capture her look. Give the fans what they want. I'd put her on something like the Spinneret or Black Widow "ultra" body mold and call it a day.

I wouldn't care for a 2pack with Swordsman because I always despised him, but she only came to the Avengers because of him, so....

No. what they should do is release Swordsman as a single figure and then with Mantis in the Cotati form.

When have they done "what must be done"? We have a blue Namorita to not to complete our Classic New Warriors till 2026!

I like the idea of a classic swordsman/mantis pack like they did with Sersi/Black Knight

Well, we have split decisions on a mantis/swordsman pack. Nevertheless, if Hasbro is even considering doing either of them, I am a happy avengers-camper. I like Atlantis idea for her design and materials... hasbro have him help you get her to market, lol!

I should have specified more; I meant more in terms of how puritanical and paranoid  that Hasbro has become about the female chest region, combined with how unique the outfit is. I still smh at what they did to Tigra's chest and their Goblin Queen prototype, but there it is. If they do make Mantis and do it pretty accurately, then all the better, but again...I wonder!

Absolutely on a tweaked version of the Caliban body. Which is okay I guess as he is technically supposed to be smaller than his papa. I was thinking as well that it would have been fairly easy to convert the Ragnarok Gladiator Hulk for this figure. But leave it to Hasbro to throw another curve ball. I'm just glad the didn't use the MCU Professor Hulk model on this one.

Oh agreed here on so thankful they didn't use the MCU Smart Hulk buck for this, that would have been a real wonky choice, totally thought Gladiator Hulk would have been a fine build choice for Skaar, but It's nice that they did something different, Tweaked Caliban buck sounds about right upon more inspection,  but they are definitely using a mish-mash of parts here.

I imagine the Caliban buck, or a modified version of it, will be what they use for Skurge the Executioner... for he is inevitable!

I can see them rather using the Apocalypse base or maybe even Thanos/Controller idk but I guess it depends on their reference material. I hope he looks as close to this image as possible!

I would applaud Hasbro if they attempted to give Skar double jointed elbows, and Hasbro proved twice it’s possible with first Avengers Hulk and Endgame Hulk. They could also potentially reuse that whole body for more simplistic cartoon retro Rhino.

This one looks much better than the old Skar. I am slowing way down on ML collecting, so this will be a "If I see him in a store, maybe" buy.

it's a fan channel so that may be hard.

It’s kinda weird that they didn’t give him double jointed elbows considering that is pretty standard for their figures now. I wonder why they went with the single jointed elbow.🤔

SO stoked for this Ghost Rider figure. I'm not usually one to display vehicle or additional pieces but I see myself incorporating this figure into my display. Definitely one of this year's highlights for me.
