I never cared for the "Warbird" codename they came up with; not only does the costume stay the same as the Cockrum Ms. Marvel, the name itself just doesn't fit the outfit. Regardless, this looks like a good figure. Wonder if they're EVER gonna do Ms. Marvel in her classic outfit. The figure was teased years ago, but still no joy....

Really? I quite liked her as Warbird. It's weird because they somehow just wrote her better back then. Now that she's a CAPTAIN no matter who writes her. Be it comic writer or screenwriter she just comes off so insufferable. I just feel bad for the character these days and any unfortunate actor who has to take on that role. Even her Ms. Marvel persona was more likeable. Something about her promotion and costume change just makes her a character that's really hard to like.

I do have that original Ms. Marvel. I don't miss the old Hasbro articulation but I do miss that old rippling abs female model. They need to bring that back for those ultra athletic female figures.

Yeah, if you mention Carol Danvers as Warbird, I immediately think of her costume Olivier Coipel gave her, not her Ms. Marvel look

Really?? I didn't know that was ever actually released....there was the 3-4" Universe figure that came out (both the classic red-blue and the Cockrum black version) but I never saw this in 6" format, except for this prototype. Fully agree, those abs look good here.

Looks like we are getting a new reveal this week and given Dan's hint, it looks to be part of the 85th anniversary so I'm guessing either Hulkbuster or Odin.

Let me rephrase and correct that. I have a custom made to look like this unproduced proto. It was made from an Emma Frost figure from the Puck wave which had the same abs. Paid a pretty penny for it too. Emma was also pretty hard to find back then but I remember a bunch of them showed up at either Ross or TJ Maxx or one of those similar store in the city I used to live in. They were a defective lot. And by that I mean there was nothing wrong with them except the glue that held the blister on the card had all dissolved off and they were all just opened and loose. It was strange. I had no idea at the time how sought after even a loose one would be at the time so I bought 5 of them for like 7 dollars and sold all but two of them off. Of course the price has gone down since the new one came out. But I got way off track. Didn't mean to lie to you. Just seeing that picture brought back the memory of it. I would assume though that thing has to be coming out sometime doesn't it? They've pretty much done most of those protos that never got done back then. I know a lot of us assumed this would be the one. The smart thing would be to do it as a Skrull with a Carol head sculpt. They could probably just use this one because it is absolutely magnificent and the mask looks like it's just painted on.

Hoping it's Hulkbuster (though my wallet isn't)

No worries, I get it now. You know, I thought Ms. Marvel was just round the corner when that Rogue 2 pack showed up with the scarf. But also thought classic Mockingbird was coming after they released Lady Deathstrike. What a joke, eh?

Preorders sold out almost instantly. Had one in my cart as soon as they went up, and it was removed before I could check out. Of all the figs I wanted this year, that was number one. Thanks, Target, for once again being unable to defeat the damned bots.

If Target is going to do Pre-Orders on specific items, then Target needs to do a better job of supplying "stock" to guarantee the number of Pre-Orders that will be coming in. I swear that they just reserve a random number, like 100, and let the customer Pre-Orderers fight it out. I never have luck with Marvel Legend pre-orders from Target. They just plain suck at it. They need to take a page from Amazon and mimic their Pre-Order reserve numbers/process.

Hah, I refreshed the page every other second until she suddenly popped up having already being out of stock. What a joke.

Been there done that. Happens nearly every time. It's almost like they do a test run to see how well it will sell. Keep at it. It'll probably most certainly go up again later today or tomorrow. The price came up as $19.99 when I checked. Maybe it's another pricing error that theyre trying to fix.

This is getting ridiculous! I thought we were passed things like this happening. I knew we were cutting back on production numbers this year, but I think this is just Target being target. Either way I'm done I tap out no more target anything for me. Sad to say but Walmart is better.

Rrrrrrr Target!!!! I was annoyed cause I couldn't get a minute at work till 20 minutes after it went up, but sounds like it wouldn't have mattered. I'm really not sure Target understands how money works, lol. They have it on clearance already? I mean cool, whatever, but weird. It's like the Widow, who sold out only to find her after release for 12 bucks at a store. Meanwhile she was going for like 40 bucks on ebay and still sought after by collectors. She definitely wasn't peg warming anywhere, so why put it on clearance? I mean cool for me that I got 2 for less than original price, (cause 27 was a bit much for her)  but....huh?

Nah, they just have a sale going on for Legends. They include pre-orders a lot of the time when they do these. It would have been nice to be able to pre-order Carol and Carnage both while they're on sale, but it is what it is, unfortunately. I did see Legends figures for as low as $11.99 though, but nothing terribly interesting. It's mostly stuff that has long since been clearanced out of stores like America Chavez, Avalance, Blue Marvel, Longshot, Multiple Man, Siryn, AOA Rogue, AOA Sabretooth, Secret Wars Doom/Rambeau 2-pack, etc.

They almost always end up coming back in stock online around the same time they start showing up in stores. The one exception that I remember was the Tracksuit Mafia figure. I never had a problem finding that Black Widow figure. My particular Target had tons of her right up until the whole anniversary line went on clearance. I never saw a Tracksuit Mafia figure though. I do remember seeing dozens of comic Yondu on clearance for $7.49 around that same time, though - and that was another Target exclusive.

This has been going on for YEARS with these "exclusive" venues. I ordered Yondu from their site, sometime later it was cancelled for no reason. When I contacted them they admitted it was their fault, but that they would be sure to contact me once their new stock came in. Of course, they never did. The sheer incompetence is just staggering.

Eeek, yeah this didn't go so great here in Canada either, Gamestop ship to home was sold out while I was checking out, bummer fest, much like Danny Ghost Rider and Scarlet Spider, people are swooping in on this one, I luckily made an order for store pick up, but that always freaks me out, because even though I put reserve money on it, I've been burned before, looking at you retro symbiote spidey, and still waiting for a Scarlet SPider.

guess everyone thinks this figure is awesome, I mean because it is.

Me too.  Had to do in store pick up.  Many times I have actually found my pre-order on the shelf at Gamestop, which is why it scares me as well.

It's crazy how fast this sold out! Unlike the Carnage figure, I was able to get my preorder in, and at a discounted price at that! I can't seem to fathom why such a limited supply. I understand overstocking and all that but jeez. Seems like it sold out in 5 minutes, maybe even less.

C'mon, Hasbro, this was absolute nonsense. I struggle to understand the upside of this for Hasbro. Maybe they sold as many units as they planned to through this exclusive with Target and it selling through immediately, but I doubt it (and they pissed off a ton of customers). A wider release would have moved more units, I can't see that not being the case. Luckily I have family in the UK so I went to UK Hasbro and preordered it, but it is absolutely ridiculous that I had to do that. My only guess is that in order for Target to carry a wide array of Legends (and probably other Hasbro product), they demand special products that are exclusive to Target (creating more traffic in their stores and online - totally get that), but if you are going to enter into that kind of arrangement, you have to ensure you are providing Target with enough inventory to support the demand, and you have to ensure Target has an effective delivery method. Not Rocket Surgery, guys!

Holy cow! It (Ms. Marvel) went up for half a second and then sold out again. I took about an hour off refreshing my page to meet with a client and after she left it had gone up and sold out again. Man nobody is as bad as Walmart exclusives but Target is closing in on their title.

😵Yeah don;t you Americans worry, it's the same here in Canada, Gamestop since it was the lowest prices, and generally has the exclusives more or less before anyone, like this figure, well it's the same, seems it's getting weird again, like it did in the pandemic, things selling out in minutes, it wasn't so bad last year, but so far this year I keep seeing this BS, yeah Warbird just blasted out of stock, annoying, but whatever this is the game.
