New X-Men 97 "War" Promotional Clip Teases Captian America

X-Men '97 has done the Summers family huge justice. Scott is a true leader and we dive into his role as a father.The thumbnail sums up the badass family that is the Summers-Grey

Good to see Cap on the X-Men, though I missed the chainmail and the star on his back.  I liked the Avengers license plate on the motorcycle too. 

That business with the shield was uncalled for. You don't tug on Superman's cape.

The newest promotional clip for this weeks episode of X-Men 97 has been released and it looks like the X-Men get updated costumes which are for the most part classic costumes, well except for Morph. The new episode premiers tomorrow (5/8) on Disney+.

I LOVE the brown costume for Wolverine...that's always been a favorite of mine. I remember when it debuted and i thought " yep..that looks right!" Storm in her classic costume is also a plus. I love the headdress she wears!! This series just keeps getting better and better!! Now all we need is Colossus and Kitty to make their debuts to the team!

first we need to get Kitty to make for debut. I can't remember but I think she never made an appearance in the original series.

You are right. Kitty has never been shown. I would welcome her addition as Jubilee is really not a little kid anymore.  I know Dazzler is somewhere out there and I hope she gets in on the action as well.

I know they color that outfit brown and orange, but I always got the feeling that was supposed to be a shade of tan or even "tawny"...very earthy colors, which does underscore the whole "animal" vibe Wolverine gives off. Deep dark brown leather for the gloves and boots, of course the chest panel....perfect choice for him.

Mother of God. They actually did it. I didn't think I would ever see that be shown anywhere besides comics but they did it

It is VERY RARE that a TV cartoon makes me drop my jaw---but today's episode did that.
Solid deep hit right in the feels for me.......I teared up.    Cyclops in his classic costume, Marvel Girl........Wolverine in his brown and tans....and then what they did to Wolverine...... Wooooooooo.
The people behind this show dearly LOVE and GET the X-men.  Great writing, great storyboarding.

For me this was a lot of action to get us from Part 1 to Part 3. If you read the comics of the time much of the things that happened in today's episode was fairly predictable, especially the ending. It was good but I didnt find this episode as good as last weeks. Looking forward to next weeks season finale.

The theory that we're heading for Onslaught in the second or third series seems to be holding up. I personally think next series will focus on Apocalypse with Gambit and now Wolverine becoming his horsemen. 

I also burst out laughing when I saw THAT wolverine bike.

I'm surprised that given everything that has happened with Magneto this season, there hasn't even been one reaction from the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Fantastic finale. I want so many figures coming out of this ep. Jubilee, Sunspot and Bastion most obviously, but a new Beast and Morph would be great too.

Overall a great series. Truth be told, I wasn't as big a fan of the original show; the Batman Animated series was more my jam. But this has been a banger right out the gate. And very glad they didn't make it the Wolverine And Some X-Men show.

It may not be available online for long so check it out while you can. The theme of the season is Apocalypse and different periods of time the X-Men will be confronting him as we saw at the end of season 1.
 

The second season isn't set to premier on Disney+ until Summer 2026.
